Juuso Välimäki and Markus Niemeläinen added to the Finnish roster as they were cut from the U20 team.

I really like the Ivan Hlinka Tournaments. Canada usually wins this and it's usually good hockey. I wish there was better coverage of it though. I usually can not find streams of the games and it doesn't get much coverage on the big Canadian tv networks (TSN, Sportsnet). Last year I did not even get to see a single game. Only a couple highlights on the net. For a few years there was a person uploading the ful length games to youtube but that did not happen last year. Come on TSN and Sportsnet play these games on your network Canadians will watch it.

FYI, Exhibition game Slovakia vs Canada is played in Trnava, not in Bratislava.

Darn, that's too bad.

The tourney itself will ne played on the main ice of Nepela rink, right? Also is there any information on ticket prices? The official website just says 70Kc for Breclav, but not information on Bratislava.

As per information here - http://hlinkamemorial.cz/clanek.asp...anousci-se-mohou-tesit-na-nekolik-novinek-187
There should available video-streaming of all games from Group A (Breclav) on the tournament web and hokej.cz too.

I love the Finnish names. Love them! I can't pronounce them for the life of me but I always root for the Finns and just think it's great when I hear the announcers say their names. Just fyi. :-)

It should be on the main rink afaik. But no further information.

I believe the tickets cost 1 euro last year.

Thanks for he info.

I would say that the bolded surprises me, but it doesn't. Meanwhile the Czechs will have all the games streamed, some even on CT and even a souvenir shop in Breclav...is this truly one and the same tourney that will be played in Breclav and Bratislava?

No Belohorsky?

Why Urho Vaakanainen and Santeri Virtanen are not in Finnish rooster?

Vaakanainen suffered a nasty injury at the end of last season, he's probably not 100% yet. Virtanen isn't anything special in terms of vision or skill level, I'm going to make a presumption that he's just not good enough to play a year up with the national team. I have a hard time understanding why ISS has him as a 1st rounder on their 2017 ranking, makes zero sense to me.

ISS shouldn't be taken seriously, at least not their early rankings of upcoming drafts. They are clueless when it comes to european players.

SWE U18 beat SWE U17 6-2.

Watch out for Linus Weissbach at the Hlinka, one of the fastest skating prospect I've ever seen. Alex Nylander should stand out quite a bit as well.
