good god what a awful take without reflexionCelebrini is 0.94 P/GP in the NHL & Demidov is 0.80 P/GP in the KHL.
NHL>>>>KHL
Their values are not even close.

What does this even meanGuys a Russian winger. I don't care how much points he's putting up. You take your choice of a premium position.

I am saying the NHL is Apples and the KHL is much shittier than apples. You can easily compare what Demidov is doing in the KHL with other Russian stars (Kucherov, Kaprizov etc.) from their time in the same league, and I wouldn't consider those guys something shittier than apples...
I understand that doesn't guarantee anything, but neither does stats from the CHL or NCAA
LmaoCelebrini is good but Demidov should've been 1st overall last year and would easily be this year. The number of teams scared of drafting Russians just blows my mind. Still can't believe both Michkov and Demidov fell like they did.
A 1st OA pick is always going to be a player that hasn't played a game in the NHL.Nobody is trading 1st OA for any player that hasn't played a game in the NHL.
Yup.Nikishin is the best asset not in America...
I always have been a huge Demidov fan (had him #2 OA), but Schaefer is insanely good.Demidov is significantly better than any player in the 2025 draft
No shortage of high scoring winger's coming from over there that's games didn't translateWhat does this even mean
It doesn't matter, every year it's the same thing. When was the last time a 1st OA was traded?A 1st OA pick is always going to be a player that hasn't played a game in the NHL.
Demidov is more proven right now than anyone in the upcoming draft.
You can say this about anywhere lmfao what???No shortage of high scoring winger's coming from over there that's games didn't translate
I go center or defense 100 percent of the time
Most of your post is you meaninglessly appealing to authority to tell me my opinion doesn't matter so i'll safely ignore it.It doesn't matter, every year it's the same thing. When was the last time a 1st OA was traded?
GMs and Scouting teams (the only opinions that actually matter) follow these players and have clear favorites. Being more developed doesn't matter when draft time comes. No GM is trading 1st OA, unless it's an overpay. Demidov wouldn't even be the main piece to get 1st OA.
There are probably 5 players on the Habs that are more valuable then Demidov.
And you think someone is giving up 1st OA for the 5th best player?
We tried to get him last year. I definitely would trade 4th overallHe's not currently in the NHL, so there is uncertainty about his real NHL upside. What if Chicago or whoever drafts 1OA has a crazy idea that they rather gamble on Demidov and offers 1OA for Ivan? It's a hypothetical question of course... just trying to gauge how much an asset like Demidov, who is trending very well but is not in the NHL, would be worth.
Slaf and anyone who is has played a game at the NHL level. Most of your post is you meaninglessly appealing to authority to tell me my opinion doesn't matter so i'll safely ignore it.
I'm curious though, 5 more valuable players on the Habs? I got Suzuki, Hutson and Caufield. Who you got for the 2 others?
Time to see how much HFers hate the Habs, lemme see those lowball offers! This highly skilled stud muffin was drafted 5OA and so far has justified that ranking, and then some. How much would a team be willing to shell out for one of, if not the, most prized asset not currently in the NHL?
Would a team drafting 1OA in 2025 do a one for one swap?
