What’s an eye opener for me is that Celibrini’s game has transitioned in some way better than Bedard’s. And there was no crazy generational talk for Celebrini, unlike Bedard.
An example of game better suited for the NHL is when Celebrini always looks for a pass after a controlled blue line entry. Bedard looks for a shot. In Juniors Ds backed up and gave him the shot. Or they tried stuffing him and Bedard just skated around them for a breakaway. But in the NHL he gets stuffed and D’s are quick enough to not let him skate around them.
If he’s really generational Bedard will need to find new tricks to compensate.
