Is that Tom Sellick?

That's what I was gonna say lol

"Why is Magnum P.I. in that picture?"

SKA conceded 137 goals in 45 games. That is a huge amount of goals. Seems like something in their game fails almost always. Leading Lokomotiv conceded 78 goals in 46 games. I don't think de Angelo was the only problem in their core.

goaltending has been a big issue for them. At one point there were rumors of them in talks with Carter Hart, but then I never heard anything on it.

He's the single most valuable asset outside the NHL right now.. so pretty much would be a massive centerpiece to acquire any player in the NHL.
Laugh at me all you want but I’m not sure I take Bedard for him 1 for 1. He might score more than Demidov but I don’t think he has that all around game, Ivan has also shown some physicality. I would never post that on the main board 😂

Personnaly i think Bedard with an elite play driver that will help him create more scoring chance (like Demidov) could put some massive points total like 65+ goals 130+ points because his hands/shot and hockey iq are super elite if not generational but if i want someone to carry a line with average linemate i would take Demidov.

Prior to the draft I had said Michkov is 1b with Bedard and I think Demidov is clearly a better player than Michkov so take that as you will

Two things I was thinking about:

1. You watch the highlights @montreal puts up and so often his teammates aren't completing his plays. Game after game you think he should have more points. There's only ever been one other Habs prospect that I've had that feeling about and it was watching Hutson his first NCAA season lol.

2. Having Hutson and Demidov on the team is going to be awesome. I forget who said it, but you don't ever want to give your opponent a problem because problems can be solved. You want to give them a dilemma. Imagine when Demidov and Hutson are both on the PP. How do you pick who you'll cover more? Imagine when they're on different lines 5 on 5. Which one gets the opponent's best defensive matchup? When you can create the dilemma is when offensive numbers really start popping imo.

Demidov will be a plug and play star from day 1 like Lane Hutson. Maybe a few slump here and here but i dont think he will have much problem having a big impact next year.

And he will be coming in on a pretty good situation. He's going to be well surrounded (lots of talent on the team), will have an elite goalscorer on his line (Caufield or Laine), won't have the pressure to put the team on his back, and will be joining a very good locker room.
