CKA did accept money in exchange of terminating a non-expired contract with Michkov, so chances are they would take compensation for Demidov terminating his contract much sooner than May 31st. Two different situations between Michkov and Demidov but same org that has proven that it can be bought out.
Maybe this is all part of Rotenburg’s scripted theatrics mandated by CKA’s ownership — have him act like a madman so there is a greater likelihood that the NHL team that owns his rights, gets jittery and produces a substantial amount to make the circus go away.
