It's time for Capuano to go

Our nhl head coach is an unsuccessful ahl coach..... sometimes i think Wang truly just doesnt really care all that much and Snow just doesnt have a clue

I am sorry for missing your post Kasper. Crappy said again and again that he was pleased with their overall effort, that he was going to move players around but liked what he saw, and that the reason we lost was because the Penguins have a better club than the Islanders.

Summary: The talent on this roster can't be expected to win a game against a better opponent and he is pleased that they all showed up to work on time.

That's the bar this coach sets for our promising youth. That's the coach Snow hired for the position, and that's the coach Chuck Wang feels is the best person he can pay for the job.

My god. He just told his team they aren't good enough to compete.

How do you keep him at this point? This goes beyond bad coaching. You can't have a coach that badmouths his own team.

The Fans need to have their voices heard....A good way to do this is to start very loud "FIRE CAPPY" Chants at the game...Then everybody will hear the voice of the fans...

Then this 3rd rate organization can no longer make believe that nothing is wrong....It will be heard throughout the Hockey Mecca because it will be reported by reporters throughout the league....

"FIRE CAPPY" Loud and clear at the games!!

I will be listening for those chants on the tv. Hopefully there's a decent turnout today for super heroes day

Lets not fool ourselves about one thing......Caps is knowledgeable...theres a place for him. But bench boss is all about change during a game....not sticking to the same old...theres plenty of talent here..maybe not all have the heart...some players make up for it by displaying extra heart.

I get pissed watching the keeper players that leave it all on the ice night in and out....get shat on.

Some coaches just see the game different.....cannot use their roster.....expect big out of small...preach battle effort yet...never pulled out the right gun for the fight.

The hit the road thingy brought a smile to my face also....seeing Si...also came to mind.

Question is can the team overcome..does caps see the light on how they won before...or does the same old put the Isles out of it again? You can over coach...misread..micro manage..then again it can also be a case of thinking you have to do something as a coach, when really no decision was the right one.

Here is how I see this playing out. Cappy finishes this year out as the HC. Next season starts, we have our fantastic month of November where we win 1 game for the month. He gets fired around Christmas, then the team starts to come around, BUT once again, it is too late. We lose out on another season and the trend continues of how we handle our coaching situation. IMO.

That's right Cappy, it's all the teams fault. Not yours. If it wasn't for you this team would be in last place obviously.

Lets just throw the team under the bus. Maybe making that a point to the media/public will save your career...GTFO!

I was in shock watching him say what he said. I have never heard a coach on any level say what he said with a smile on his face no less. If I thought he was smart enough perhaps it could be construed as wry sarcasm to really twist his team's leaders for not demanding more from their teammates but for some reason, I don't think he thinks that deeply.

I hate this guy so much. It's incredible how much he holds this team back from being as good as they can be with his stupid and/or non-decisions. The JT line has been brutal defensively and obviously the duo of Boyes and Moulson is rendering JT pretty ineffective, why the HELL hasn't Boyes been moved off that line? It's just mind blowing how some of these decisions are common friggen sense and we, the fans, can see them from our TV screens but Cappy can't see them from behind the bench.

Cappy's pathetic powerplay decisions

what the hell is this dumbass thinking ???

STOP PLAYING TAVARES MOULSON AND BOYES ON THE POWERPLAY. I don't care if they have the most skill on paper. they can't score right now. At the moment they suck. Bench them. Better yet scratch them. They are not performing right now.

Plain and simple. you play the guys who produce.

not only Cappys decision...Weight is a big factor in the PP....i also think there's no better way to break a slumping line then to give them PP time...i have no problem with them playing on the PP

When Butch "I don't have anything negative to say and will try put a positive twist on everthing" Goring starts calling this out, you know you have a problem

Scratching Tavares

Just take Boyes off the line, problem solved. Also, our biggest problem on the PP is letting Mark Streit carry the puck into the zone at 2mph and then makes an extremely predictable and slow pass that gets picked off. Our breakout on the PP is so much better when Nielsen, Tavares or Visnovsky carries it in.

in that case they're both idiots. I have no problem with 3 or 4 game slump but these guys simply have zero result on the powerplay for what seems like a loooooong time.

If a player is not producing you limit their ice time not increase it. The Isles have other options but they seem to have the JT favoritism happening right now

by the way
are you familiar with the ice time/production catch 22?

coach's standpoint- a player has to show me he can produce if he wants more ice time

players standpoint - how can I produce in a limited role. I need more ice time to show more production

I'll still never understand this coaching move by Capuano. Cizikas was playing great as the 3rd line center, what does the moron do, he puts him on the 4th line as a winger. What a waste, what a joke of a coach.

and replace him with who?

the Isles have no "natural set-up man" all because snow didn't want to give PA the big money he rightfully earned. No one in Bridgeport can fill in the role. KO didn't work out either. they screwed themselves over.

Time to get Boyes the heck off JT's line. Even strength and on the pp.

Bump up KO for 5 on 5.
Use Frans on the PP as a set up man on the half wall. This gets JT where he's most dangerous...NEXT TO THE NET!!!!!

I'm tired of watching JT play 200 feet from net!

PAP sucked. Gifted passer, but very soft in all other areas. Almost as bad as Boyes

Get KO back up there, he's been looking really good lately and deserves another shot

Any player that has any semblance of defense is better than Boyes on that line. Even Okposo is better.

GIFTED PASSER. that's the key right there. nine out of ten times PA's the reason JT or Moulson scored a goal. and he was much better than Boyes. His point production increased year-to-year for one thing

The reason you don't decrease Tavares's minutes is because even when he's struggling horribly he can still snipe like he did tonight.
