According to this guy on Twitter. The Jays have signed Gausman to a 5yr/100 million contract. He has called some things in the past. Let's hope this is one true because I would absolutely love that deal.

What has he called in the past?

His pinned tweet says he broke the Hand trade and the Baez signing. Not sure if true.

Yet another example of why we wouldn't re-sign him

Stro is the poster boy for a really smart person but lacking self awareness. Any guy who can finish off a College diploma while playing major league sports is impressive. He has a bit of a woe is me victim vibe too. If he could get his personality in order, I'd love to have him as a #5 or a long reliever.

Is it wrong to think Robbie Ray's market is not going to be as strong as some are talking about? His range of outcomes is very wide, gives up a lot of HRs, and his 3rd time through the order for a guy that's almost a 2 pitch pitcher now seems risky.

5 years, $100 million for me is the absolute max. Would be pushing really hard for 4 years though.

Gausman is also basically a 2 pitch guy too now, so not much of a difference and both guys miss a lot of bats with those 2 pitches.

Finishing credits up for a sociology degree likely isn't an overwhelming mental strain. Agreed on wanting him if he'd fix his attitude though - I loved the way he pitched

Maybe Stroman is playing the long game. Being a petulant dickhole online as a study for his Masters thesis on “Reactions to athletes not being robots” would be a big sociology project.

Vlad Guerrero Jr .: “I'm working harder than I did last year in the offseason. My goal is to arrive in my best physical condition at spring training and have a better season than the one I had this year so I can help the Blue Jays win the World Series."

Vladdy Jr.:
“My main goal is to help the Blue Jays advance to the playoffs and win the World Series. If you ask me to choose between the MVP award and the Blue Jays qualifying for the playoffs, I prefer that my team qualify. That's more important to me than winning an award.”
