Feel the same way, and Blueger was in my top 3 favorites. If anyone had an issue with Blueger getting traded during the Dad's trip, they can get bent. Whether that is our players or the reporters/fabulists trying to stoke it in the fans. These are professional athletes and this team has gone downhill because of this ohana bullsh1t.
And I say that as a Blueger defender
Blueger blows.
I hope they let him know he was traded through AIM
...
Dude, it's not a soft spot. He's literally excellent at 5v5. 7% worse than Guentzel for his career, who is historically a great ES player. He has a 15% better career rate than Zucker and Rakell.
And his defense, while not special, is much better than a lot of the guys people want, like Bertuzzi or Barbashev's. It's like mid-level, which is a big step up from Zucker in that regard. I'd prefer it if L2 didn't get cratered again.
I don't suggest acquiring players based on feelings. Never have. I just look at the numbers and probability of fit.
The dude just hit 46 points with Sheldon Dries as his primary Center.

A GOOD player at what we need our winger to do.
Nobody is coming here and putting up 60+ points in a PP2 role. Zucker couldn't scrape 50 points during the best even-strength season of his career. PP2 was brilliant, yet it still wasn't enough.
If you're looking for a 60+ point player then you're gonna have to pay a higher AAV, and it will have to be someone that the coaching staff would put on the 1st unit in Letang, Guentzel or Rakell's stead. I'm totally down with that, but let's hear some names that fit that bill.
Or that guy fills in during lengthy injuries on the 1st unit. Also possible, but that's luck based for him.
Found Sid's AIM away message, Thursday lyrics"What up Ted. I hope you like casinos and shitty buffets because you're on your way to Vegas lol -Rondawg"
It's probably something about Jesus but tasteful.Found Sid's AIM away message, Thursday lyrics
Time to let this pass
(The time it takes, the time it takes to let go)
Time runs through our veins
(It starts and stops and starts and stops again)
We don't stand a chance in this threadbare time
(The time it takes, the time it takes to let go)
Probably in papyrus font, I'm gonna guess pink on black background.
Doing the dad's trip during trade deadline season was a stupid idea by the team anyways. I know the players probably had a hand in choosing that as well but it was just ill conceived by all involved.
It seems like unless Dubas has some family reason or just needs a break, he's a lock. It won't be because of role or money.Fwiw Chris Johnston said from people connected to the situation that it’s like 98% Dubas is going to Pitts. He said he doesn’t know he would put it quite that high but that it does look very likely.

She may be the best media member/reporter on the Penguins beat. She was also the one to break the Dubas met with Sid the other night story too.Kinda reinforces the praise for Haase that Blueger was willing to answer a pretty stupid question for her 3 months after being traded

Not only that, but on a day that he’s playing a *playoff* game!Kinda reinforces the praise for Haase that Blueger was willing to answer a pretty stupid question for her 3 months after being traded

There was some pushback on that from Mark Madden today. Madden said Dubas was definitely in town, but that he was meeting with scouts and Sid just happened to be at the complex working out. It was supposedly a brief conversation, not an interview/sit-down.She may be the best media member/reporter on the Penguins beat.
