Insider David Pagnotta says a deal is nearing completion between the Jets and Kings, including Gabriel Vilardi and Alex Iafallo in the trade

In my opinion, that is too much to give. Vilardi is under cost control for 3 more years.

I don't recall seeing any rumours of the Habs offering anything to the Jets for Dubois, so not sure how this increased his value on the LA side. However, we are hearing lots of reports of LA offering players and showing interest. It shows that either our brass is leak-proof or never made a serious offer.

yeah I've been to LA numerous times. I wouldn't call it a nice city, lots of crime and homelessness.
Don't get me wrong, beaches, ocean - some nice areas like Malibu, Santa Monica, etc...
I landed a job there several years ago, but I couldn't take the traffic and the sheer craziness of LA
