Depends on how you define bad. When you are on one of the two scoring lines and you are not scoring, you are much closer to bad than good. Granted, it is a small sample size but so was the sample size when he was hitting the scoresheet.
For the most part he has been really good. 13 pts in 19 games is pretty good. Every player us a tough stretch and to be honest even these last few games hasnt been bad.

One goal in 14 games ain't good when you are a second line player seeing power play time. I think he will be fine or at least I hope so, but a 5 goal a year pace over the span of a month ain't anything to brag about.

I dont just look at goals but his overall play. Goals will come especially with a lot of the season left to go.

Kreider's play has dropped off as did everyone on that line, which I don't think is unrelated. What happened? Have teams figured them or is it just a slump?

it could be a slump. I mean every player and every line goes through tough stretches at some point. It is extremely difficlt to dominate every game of teh season which is what that lien was doing for awhile. I think they will be fine and expect a better game starting today from all 3

He's so much less engaged on the ice, looking like he was last year. Real disappointing
Like i said before every play has a bad game or 2. Since his recall he has still be one of our better forwards. I know when the rangers lose its doomsday around here lol but lets just see what happens is the next stretch whihc are mostly home games

Kreider: How you like me now?
It was only a matter of time before he started breaking out with goals and im glad it started with Torts front and center. Nash-Stepan-Kreider is our top line because they have speed passing and goal scoring ability

Kreids all over the ice, speed and power

I'm feeling lazy, so i will just repost what I said in the main board thread:

The 'revenge on Torts' narrative is lazy and revisionist. Kreider was sent down at the begining of this year for inconsistency. He wasn't the player he is now until he came back from his last stint at Hartford. If this Chris Kreider had been available to John Tortorella, he would have played him 20 minutes a night.

Yep. The story today wasn't "payback". It was Tortorella getting a front-row seat to how far Kreider has come since last year. Maybe thanks, in part, to Tortorella's no-nonsense approach.
