There was one play in the third where he neutralized Killorn and then too out Hagel on the board. And I just thought to myself- what a thing of beauty that I have not see for almost a decade on this team. It's sad but true

Luke was an incredible trade. You can feel/see the difference around the net after whistles when he is not there. Guys think twice

Kampf provides more value .. he's strong defensively and on the face-offs, and it's a key cog on the PK. A perfect fourth line centre. Lafferty won't stay in over him.

Lafferty seemed to have a little more fire tonight but overall he's been the weakest forward statistically.

I'd probably lean on keeping the lineup that has been able to put out 3 straight wins, but I think you gain a big upgrade with Bunting over Lafferty.

Matthew Knies is going to be a heck of a player
Reminds me a bit of Mark Stone?
That's a heavy comparison. He has arrived at the right time with the right team, after a tough Finals loss himself.

The stars might be aligned for him and the Leafs. He is in the middle of what could be a special run.

First, they must exoricize their First Round demons. They haven't win anything yet.

His game has aged like a fine wine.

And the fact that he's bought a house in Toronto .. give him a nice 2 year deal

Here's to all the heroes on the mains keeping the haters crying!

Hard to argue against the leading scorer in the playoffs who hasn't been on the ice for a goal against when the team has a 3-1 lead.

He has had too many turnovers but that is grasping at straws at this point
I have been saying all season long, you have to have the puck to have turnover.

MM is not the dominant self like in the regular season but I think that’s had more to do with the opposition than anything. What I like about MM is that he is being direct, simple and clutch instead of over thinking and tried to do too much like playoffs past. That’s also why he is getting the points despite not being completely dominant, he is eyeing and hunting moments to exploit TB.
Having said that, like anyone in the league, Cirelli and his line is really tough to play against.

No doubt.

I agree but he has been very invisible or visible in the wrong way this whole series till he started playing with ROR and Acciari.

Kerfoot isn't a heavy player, he's not skilled enough to be the playmaker with pure snipers, nor does he have a strong shot to be the shooter.

He's a tenacious water bug type player that's not afraid to go into the dirty areas, is quick in transitions, and good defensively.

His game style matches well with ROR and Acciari because they're bigger physical guys who are equally as smart and are able to create space with their physical play

The guys paid the big bucks stepped up in the 3rd. That was truly an insane comeback against a team like Tampa. Now let's get this monkey off our backs and win game 5. We really shouldn't have to be asking Samsonov to out goalie Vasilvesky too much, we need a complete game on Thursday.
