Hard for me to rate ,would like to know what Brad was asking for ,also I know many had issues with Carlo ,but I would think he would be considered a top 4 defenceman,how is that not worth a legitimate roster player in return.

The only issue was the disappointing Marchand return. But I understand wanting to do right by the player and trade him to where he wants to go (along with the 8 team NTC) plus his injury hurt his value.

I was told early in the week the hang up was not $ but years.
He wanted 4 with the Bruins staying at 2 years.

Someone had posted he wanted 3 years at 3 million per .I wouldn’t have had a problem with that ,hope it comes out what the actual offer was.

I think they let Marchand have a say in where he was going, and took less because of it.
Think how Taylor Hall forced the Sabres to send him to boston for a low pick.

Coyle trade was great. Can’t believe we moved him. Let alone got anything back.
Carlo trade is OK.
Trading Marchand is bad enough trading him for a conditional 2nd is awful.

We had breakfast with my mother and law and her boyfriend, who I’d categorize as a “casual fan”.
He asked what I thought of yesterday.
Told him I was ecstatic.
He was genuinely shocked.
“But now they have to replace all those players. And they traded Marchand.”
I said yes, and it was the right thing to do and that they’ll probably lose a lot of games next year and the year after as well and, as a fan, I’m more than fine with that.

Assuming they clear house on the coaching staff. I think they’ll be competitive next year. Especially if there was some behind the scenes deal to sign Marchand in the offseason.
It’s going to be tough to tank with pasta swayman Mcavoy etc on this team

That's fine.
But all of my top fan days are from actual hockey game occurrences. Never thought of anything non-game related. If I did I guess the 1997 draft would be the biggest thrill, getting Thornton & Samsonov in the first round.
And by the way, how do you know people that only enjoy missionary?

An F implies all the trades were bad.
Also the Carlo trade was great. They got a 1st and a team's top prospect for Hal Gill with concussion issues
really can't blame them for that....i wouldn't be surprised if he is retired by then

That’s just not true. Unless you have some inside knowledge it’s all just rumors right now.
exactly....there are lots of complaints that he didn't ask to be traded...unless they were told that by him personally, how do they know that.....maybe Bruins said 2 years only and he told them 4 years and if not trade me then...
