OK, serious English language question...

I would have said "...the CBJ are 2-0-1 all-time..." and "only time the CBJ have played..." Granted I am more of a numbers guy but Svoboda's comment just doesn't read correctly to me.

Isles rookie Tsyplakov not playing because of suspension. He has been a nice offensive surprise for them. My Isles buddy called him l"their most consistent player this season". He's not their highest scorer but an important depth scorer.

I just hope the Isles goalie doesn't have his day against us.

I finally have www.vk.ru " O.K., so I can watch the game in the afternoon. :thumbu: I'll try all the January games too in next days.

Honestly I'd love to know too. I insert 'the' most of the time and I feel that's technically the more correct answer. I don't know if the "band example" would apply (like Beatles vs the Beatles meaning all members of the band as people or some such) but at least I never think that way...

I don't really balk at not using the article in social media, especially if it's a hashtag, I'm way too annoyed at all the other mistakes people make more and more often. :D But I'd love to know if there's a writing style guide for hockey team names.

We do suck on the road (6-12-4).

don’t like that excuse to justify the odds.

that’s 16 points on the road this year.

the islanders have 18 points at home all year.

maybe it’s because jack johnson is drawing in lolol

I do find it odd the CBJ are +1.5 tonight when the Islanders are in last place in the metro and losing home record.

The betting odds have been wild for the CBJ for a while now, I've been wondering the same. I mean I'd like to at least benefit from it if we start losing our position, but the odds make it impossible. :D I think there's some pre-season bias still ongoing in addition to whatever live/automatic calculations they do for games.
