Pretty disappointed that Sorokin's GAA is up over 1.00. Bust. :shakehead

He got put in cold for Fasth and let in 2g on 11 shots. One of the goals he probably should have stopped, the second one was just a weird deflection in the slot that ended up right on the stick of an opposing player.

2016 Draftees Update:

Otto Koivula it appears got an assist in his last game, bringing him to 4+2=6 in 9 GP
Collin Adams has started off the USHL season hot, 4+4=8 in 5 GP. Considering that's not a good league for a post-draftee and he's small, I'm expecting big totals if he's gonna make it.
David Quenneville has opened to a similar rate as he had last season, 3+2=5 in 6 GP for the mminute dman.
Nick Pastujov was held scoreless in his first 2 games at Michigan

Despite his drop in #'s, Sorokin has looked the same to me. He was victimized by some bad luck a few times (5 on 3 that turned into a 5 on 1 due to two broken sticks) and it looks like CSKA isn't quite as strong as it was last season, defensively. He also got thrown into a game cold the other night and gave up two goals (one was a weird deflection he had no chance on).

nothing wrong with a bit a challenge, to test his mental fortitude. goaltending has to be one of the toughest positions in all of sports, as far as the mental aspect.

what impresses me about Sorokin is his ability to stay sharp, when facing little action. he still has a long way to go, but looking really good so far.

looking forward to seeing him in an Isles jersey in a few years.

Ilya Sorokin is now at: 18 GP, 1.24 GAA and .941 SVS%.

White Otto Koivula is at: 13 GP, 4 G, 3 A, and 7 PTS.

Not too bad! Especially given their ages and the leagues they are in.

Do we have a list of prospects we should be keeping track of? Maybe I can do some digging for an update.

Thanks for compiling those numbers seabass!

I knew Quenneville got off to a good start offensively but, wow, I didn't realize that Collin Adams was tied for third in total points in the USHL.

And the two players ahead of him are both two years older.

Ho-Sang scores his first pro goal. It was a snipe. One timer from the circle. It's nice to see someone in the organization knows how to shoot a one timer.

It's looking like Dal Colle is also finding the back of the net with 3 goals and an assist in 6 games. Hopefully he keeps it up.

He's got a nose for the net and he's really benefitting from playing with Ho-Sang. Two of his three goals so far were 2 on 1's where Josh dished it beautifully to him for the tap in.

Ho-Sang is doing some pretty impressive things down there. Against Springfield on Friday night I saw him have two breakaways and a 2 on 1 in A SINGLE SHIFT. I mean the kid still has to round out his game but his skating, vision, and hands are really impressive.
