I feel like Iginla is a target that makes sense.

Wouldnt cost more than picks/prospects this year and Colorado isnt going anywhere this year.

Just need to figure out how to make the cap and/or retention work (he is pending UFA)

As a Leaf fan i'd make this move. Unsure on NYI.

I think most fans will say that LW is in fact good for them but RW not so much.

I think JVR holds a bit more value than Pulock to be honest.
My preference would be a more stay-at-home top-4 defensive prospect but if push comes to shove, I'd consider it. We need RHD in the worst kind of way.

I don't think the Islanders have any interest in moving Pulock. I think they see him as a future top pairing + PP triggerman. Not entirely sure yet if he'll make it there, but the organization seems very high on him.

Yea it will be tough to convince him, but that was also when he signed buying into playing for Roy, but now Colorado is changing the landscape of the team and behind the bench, and if they are clearly changing the culture over there and Iginla walks at the end of the year, you have to wonder why he feels any loyalty/allegiance to stay there now because they will likely not be in a playoff spot by the TDL. At 39 this is likely his last kick at the can if he can land on a contender

Great scoop, Elliotte. They have Tavares and a bunch of washing machines.

All the years of sucking and having great draft positions....all the "prospects"....so why don't they look within to replace a guy who is going back to the WHL?

I wonder if we see a Jets Islanders deal.... Rumors out there that Chevy was at the Isles Oilers game a few days (week) ago, De Haan is rumored to be available, LHD... Jets need that, Jets have a ton of excess forwards...

Perhaps Burmistrov for De Haan makes some sense or something similar to that. I don't think it will be a huge deal but i think theres a fit there between the Jets who are looking for an LHD and the isles looking for forward help.

Burmistrov plus B prospect for De Haan. Probably makes the most sense actually.

Stafford even could be involved but Barzal is a center yes? So is Burmi originally.

Pacioretty for Leddy?

That would not only be a hit in terms of value for the Habs, but also make their dire need for a scoring winger even greater. I think the Isles would do this out of pure value, but I doubt many would be too happy about moving arguably their best d-man for a winger.

Iginla is still being spoon-fed top 6 minutes on the Avs. Trust me when I say I speak for all Avs fans, we'd trade him for a conditional 7th if that's all that was offered. However, Iginla relocated his whole family to Denver when he signed the contract. He doesn't seem to have any desire to chase the cup based on his play this year.

As a Wings fan I would do
Nyquist for Pulock

Not sure if NYI would though

I agree with a post upstream - What about trying to reacquire Parenteau?

He seems to be doing OK with the Devils. It probably wouldn't cost much...
