Yurov 27 1st and Hartman wild say yes islanders say no thoughKnowing how Guerin operates, I expect him to be pretty aggressive for Barzal. What do the Wild have to trade though?

Seattle doesn't have the piecesBarzal to Seattle would make a lot of sense. Eberle as your top winger is a decade too late. Shane Wright might be a good trade candidate there.
that would be an easy No from the isles.Yurov 27 1st and Hartman wild say yes islanders say no though
He's a secondary scoring piece you add if you feel you are one move away from being a Stanley Cup contender. His best year was behind Tavares, it's true he's not a top flight guy but as a secondary player he is still very valuable because he can cut up second / third pairings like a hot knife through butter.Any team that pays a 1C price for this guy is going to be very disappointed when they get a winger/2C
MTLs core is ready right now, Barzal is in his prime and signed for another 5 years. He is not too old, you just want to hold onto shiny toys.NO. Barzal is too old. Not giving up Hage for him.
Barzal to CHi for 2026 1st ( 4thOA) + Boisvert/Moore
I’d prefer Moore over Boisvert
What do the Islanders need?
Isles pass....sorry there is no need for us to take less. Everyone wants to bash Barzal, yet everyone wants him.....sorry to get you have to pay.I would LOVE Barzal on a line with Bedard, but you're not getting the 4th overall for him at 29 years old when the Hawks have the potential to draft someone 10+ years younger and likely a better player long term.
That said, I would do 2027 Edmonton 1st + 2027 Florida First + Boisvert/Moore (preferably Boisvert) If that isn't enough, the Hawks can take on one of the bad contracts that were stated earlier (preferably Engvall) as a sweetener.
I think the Hawks have options. I also think Seattle has to make a move. The are as vanilla as they come. At some point fans stop showing up.Oh I dont disagree. The C market is especially thin. But with so many teams looking for a 1C, he's not going to be the answer, hence my comment.
A team like Dallas who could rotate him at winger and C, and isnt relying on him to be their best forward, is a team thats going to get the most out of him. The teams you named? Not so much
NYR makes sense but for obvious reasons would never happen
I'm not sure about that - O'Brien, 7th overall this year, WrightSeattle doesn't have the pieces
that’s a legit package. And taking on Engvall would be great.I would LOVE Barzal on a line with Bedard, but you're not getting the 4th overall for him at 29 years old when the Hawks have the potential to draft someone 10+ years younger and likely a better player long term.

Don't like wright as all....he's at best a 3C and we don't need another 3C....I'm not sure about that - O'Brien, 7th overall this year, Wright
I just really don't understand why the Isles would move their best forward who is still relatively young, at a point where their team is configured to try to make noise right now. Especially while you've got Schaefer wildly outproducing his dirt cheap ELC as a huge point of leverage in the market and team building.
Kinda calling bullshit on this being credible. Especially given the source.
No way the Islanders would entertain trading him within the Metro.
If the Islanders were even considering trading him, I would think the return would be similar in structure to the Dobson deal but with slightly higher value.
Doesn't make sense though to move him given the Islanders weren't far from the playoffs. Only reason would be if they had another move lined up for a bonafide 1st liner and wanted cap space.
Bruins prospects are brutal. The same GM and President in Boston rumored to not have drafted Barzal due to his poor interview with the team aren't going to trade for him 10 years later for a young C prospect and 1sts when Barzal has not shown he is the #1C on the Islanders which is currently the Bruins' biggest long-term need.
Oh, Isles starting another rebuild?
That's a problem with most team's fans that don't realize that their teams rebuild is over and now adding good and experienced pieces will cost some youth. It's really OK to do this as Montreal's #1 goal now is to win a cup and not hold onto every shiny new toy in the system !MTLs core is ready right now, Barzal is in his prime and signed for another 5 years. He is not too old, you just want to hold onto shiny toys.

Not Reinbacher please.Reinbacher + Hage
O'Brien is not a worthy piece?Seattle doesn't have the pieces
He's the only prospect in their system I have any interest...but that's not enoughO'Brien is not a worthy piece?
exactly, he's a significant piece, and if Verhoeff is still there at 7, that's not a bad startO'Brien is not a worthy piece?
