Rough game, but so too have Hughes and Nemec had rough games.

Where's the narrative that Nemec has had a bad game coming from? He's been damn solid tonight.

Ya he’s been solid tonight. He’s had his fair share of rough moments in the previous games but he’s done very little wrong tonight while showing some nice flashes and making some nice plays.

Luke has had a rough night.

Luke wasn't really bad, was his worst game so far, but he was fine, not good, fine. It happens. Miller and Schmid were definitely worse.

Yeah, the potential is insane and he's already showing some very good, electric stuff.

I think in this game you see the entire Luke Hughes picture. Showed flashes in the o-zone, not really gonna be a stalwart in the d-zone. You take the bad because the good is super high. You can teach the defensive zone stuff, especially from someone like Hamilton.

NJ was playing half a lineup and won against a team playing most of what it has. It’s preseason but not encouraging for Isles. I’m hoping that Hughes Bratt Toffoli line can get it together and show some offense at some point.

You can teach the defensive zone stuff, especially from someone like Hamilton.

I agree. He did have that really bad turnover at the end of the first period but he didn't have much to do with the goals against he was out for.

On the 3rd Isles goal he had a great back check after Nemec for caught flat footed at the point. Luke came flying back and his back pressure prevented Engvall from having a much better look. Unfortunately Schmid got beat anyway. That was the one goal Schmid allowed that he really should have had.
