Every game she announces it is mistake after mistake and fumbling over simple sentences. I know she did alot for womens hockey but enough is enough, she is painful to listen to.

I honestly don't know a single person who can stand listening to her so why is she still on?

I hate after a goal, when she tries to explain what happened... and you can tell she's just describing the replay as she watches it...
Like, thanks for doing play-by-play on the replay. But no thanks.

Jack Edwards, aside from being a huge homer, is one of the best play by play guys in the NHL He and Brick make a great combo.

Yeah, the Boston color-commentator guy is great -- I think he's one of the very best. But no one will convince me that Edwards isn't the biggest douchebag in broadcasting, and I also think he's awful at his job.

Not only is his rant here nonsensical, it's incredibly misguided. Habs' fans are traditionally French-Canadians, who are possibly the only people in North America who hate monarchies more than colonial Americans did.

I'm all for equality, just let the person who is best at the job do the job. I find it hard to believe that with her performances so far shes at. the top of the list. There are many men in this league who have jobs because they are friends or have close ties with someone within their organizations and not because of their ability to do the job, I'm guessing she has her position for the same reason.

Someone mentioned Drew Remenda. Drew did color for the Sharks for years. CBC picked him up and it just wasn't a good fit. Its like he didn't follow any other teams (Jim Hughson, "Now, the Canucks this season have been something, something, something." Drew, "Wellllll...you'd know more about that.") The next year he was back in San Jose but I haven't seen him the last few years until I caught a broadcast of a game in Alberta.

What is up with that? Randy Hahn seems lost without him. So does Sharky for that matter.

She's brutal. I'm guessing they are having her on to try and get a larger female audience. There are many commentators who are more knowledgable/ better on air than she is so I don't see why else they would have her on the broadcast.

In the process everyone else is turning away. Not only does she make myriad mistakes, she's ridiculously boring in tone and delivery.

I actually blame the person in charge of hiring. Really bad at assessing talent. Hrudey, p.j. Stock and cassie all seem a little brain damaged. If Elliot Friedman is your biggest star thats pretty sad. Not Cassie's fault. P.s. caught a few Rangers games and I really enjoyed the broadcast. Top notch commentary.

She's average, not the worse, sports crowds hate change and in this case, the change is a woman. But yeah when she and most other colour commentators are doing commentary, I press mute, hockey is better with music anyways.

Denis Potvin is one of the greatest defensemen of all-time and an absolute tire fire on the broadcast. There is almost zero correlation between playing skill and being a good broadcaster.

Potvin made me burst out laughing one night. Can't remember who he was mad at but the line he yelled out was along the lines of "this is a guy who puts his fingers in the peanut butter jar!!"
