Speculation: IS THERE A f***ING PLAN BARRY OR ARE YOU JUST AN IDIOT??

What upsets me most is his comment that the off-season moves were meant to get us in playoff contention and compete for the wildcard spots.

So basically mushy middle? Wasn't the whole point not to be in the mushy middle?

Goalposts keep changing, can keeps getting kicked. I have no issue with us being bad. I have an issue with us being bad and it not being the plan.

I also take offense to the whole the plan is in pen path is in pencil thing. It's meant to sound heady but sounds stupid.

I'll put it like this my normal source put it at 100% that Bruno is back.

Barry just said, on actual television, he "could have gotten a 2nd or maybe a 1st" for Bunting and didn't take it
That just doesn't make sense.

Bunting was in a car accident and is on IR. What team buying in this arms race wanted to cough up a 1st rounder for a guy on IR? Why would they do that?

But, like you imply, if there was some idiot GM that was offering a draft pick for a box of broken eggs, not taking that makes Barry an even bigger fool.

Sometimes telling tall tales doesn't make you look very smart.

I have very little to say at this moment. Listening to Trotz during the 2nd period last night had me dumbfounded. He had calls on McCarron but didn't want to move him because he brings so much value to the team? WTF are you talking about? His 10 points on the year? He had the audacity to compare him to Adam Lowry but he backed off and said, not to that extent but we value him like that.

I'm sorry but dude has to go and go now. I don't know what he sees that we don't but to not move McCarron because his contract is so low plus the value he brings, you've been bonked on the head one too many times at some point in your life if you believe that.

The thought of him bringing back Bruno is more maddening. This team for the first 60 games of the season couldn't put more than 2 passes together in any one sequence and over the last 3 games all of a sudden they're able to do this? Something is massively rotten in Denmark.

His reasoning for holding on to ROR to mentor the kids is also a fault. If you could've gotten a 1st and a solid prospect back, you should've done it. You have 3-5 vets that can mentor the kids outside of ROR, so that means he doesn't value these other guys as culture fits and if that's the case, why did you sign them as culture guys?

The biggest problem with Trotz is he's short-sighted. He's looking at the next season or two as opposed to both the short and long term well being of the franchise. He's doing irreparable damage to the long term of the franchise with the moves he's made over the last year. He's depleted almost all organizational depth, kept around marginal AHL talents, has kept a coach who is in over his head and the list goes on.

I don't even know what to say or think any more. The only thing I know is I won't spend another dime inside of Bridgestone or this team for quite a while. They're going to lose a lot of long term fans if they don't figure this shit out soon.

I don't think I've ever yelled so much listening to an interview as I did that one. Too know Tomasino, Novak, Fabbro, etc all got traded just because Trotz and Brunette didn't like them just made me want to throw stuff. His comment about them timing out despite them all being NHL level players made me scream, we need NHL level players, we don't have them

But guys like McCarron and Smith who timed out years ago are kept on the roster. Make it make sense.

Even more so when you could have gotten solid value for them. Guys like McCarron and Smith are a dime a dozen, and I though he said he could find those guys easily? I mean if you can find them easily and you have admitted the team and core need to be rebuilt then you need to be taking as many throws at the dart board as you can get, or at least combine those throws and get what you do need.

He just doesn't make sense. He will say one thing as far as a plan and then do the exact opposite. It's the reason everyone is so frustrated. He talks about having conversations with the coaches about getting the young guys playing but then the coaches play them 7 minutes a night and then he just launches them to the moon for nothing.

The Novak trade the further you get away from it just gets even more horrific. You already turned down a first the prior season, and then you resign the guy to a multiyear contract and then decide half way through the next season you don't like him so much that not only did you not get back that first, but you also gave a 2nd and a 4th just to get rid of him for a guy that has bounced around the league because none of them like him but he deserves a second chance for some reason when our own guys don't.

None of it makes any sense.
