Is the Bruins loss the biggest choke job ever?

Imagine if Penguins hadn't choked and lost against Chicago Blackhawks on April 11. Panthers would have missed the playoffs.

Tied with Tampa.

This is recency bias.. I mean Tampa got SWEPT
Yea but after game 1, they were never in that series

Boston was right there and had the commanding hold in the series and choked it

No. Boston choked harder than this to Philly.

Plus the tampa choke job to Columbus was worse. It was a sweep, plus the blue jackets were a very mediocre team. Florida is at least a good team and is going to give Toronto problems.

Boston lost to a really good team in 7 games
The Lightning got swept by a very mediocre team

Yes.

Feels worse than 17-1 as a fan of both teams. That was one game. This was slow and painful.

I know what everyone is gonna say, but these teams were 6th and 7th in xGF% in the regular season.

Goaltending is a hell of a drug.

I hate when the word choke gets thrown around. Both teams worked hard all year to get into the playoffs. Panthers came on strong after a really bad start and they never quit. It's the playoffs and anything can happen. An upset when you consider how the Bruins dominated all season, absolutely. But choke job? No.

Funny, cause I usually love to pile on Leafs or Bruins choking, but I don't feel like it was that much of a choke. Panthers showed up strong. It was tight and well fought. Bruins looked gased at the end.

All that chest thumping Boston fans did, especially post trade deadline certainly didn't age well.
