I guess this is all you have to cling on to when you haven’t made the playoffs in 7 years almost. But ok bud! Leafs are atop of the division this year without Matthews.

BTW for all the flack the Leafs get “blow up the core, etc”, isn’t this like year 4-5 of this sens group? If anything the Sens core is absolutely rotten and should be blown up - because they absolutely suck.

That's all he's got. And they say Leaf fans live in the past...

Don't forget that after the Sens' last series, their captain teamed up with his wife to run a player out of town. True leadership. Then again, Brady is not faring much better in that department.

You just hate to see it.

Seriously though, when does it become time to talk about rebuilding the rebuild? Tkachuk is 26 start of next season, that is not a young guy anymore that is the prime of his career. Chabot 28, Ullmark in his 30's etc.

Are the Sens not a better team trading Chabot and Tkachuk (no one is taking that Ullmark contract) and building around then 23 year old Stutzle and Sanderson / Yak?

Do you really?

The Captain who led the Senators further than any Leaf team in 20 years?

That Captain?

What does that say about the kind of leadership the Leafs have?

Ottawa is legitimately awful, but at least we're past the denial stage unlike you guys.

Stutzle has some good stats, how is Sanderson doing this year and who is he playing with?

He was doing well until Zub got hurt.

Then they promoted Travis Hamonic to his pairing and they suffered. Hamonic is a #7 defenceman who coaches like for some reason.

By the time Artem Zub came back, he's had his struggles.

The only consistently good defenceman on this team this year has been Nick Jensen, who has been outstanding. He's also helped to raise Chabot back to respectability.

They suck , need them to win some games , stay away from the lottery , it's other teams time to tank Ottawa had their moment , win some games man

The highest the Senators have picked is 3rd, and that wasn't even their own pick.

I wouldn't mind a shot at #1 or #2.

Gotta start rebuilding the rebuild. The new Buffalo sabres everyone.

Brady is going to want out, especially after watching his brother have so much success. It's gotta sting for him.

The Senators need a better coach than Travis 'that's a good team over there' Green.
I'm sorry but there were better options out there besides him.

Nothing against Travis Green, good guy but awful head coach.

Travis Green is so bad

One of the worst coaches I have ever seen

Vancouver was so bad statistically in some areas that it was record breaking. I think NHL.com start in the late 70’s for perspective.

When I saw Giroux yelling at teammates during the Vancouver game, you didn’t even have to know green was coaching. You just knew by the dead looks from players and frustration
