Is Marner slumping or is it Matthews?

You just need fresh looks to scramble other teams game plans. We're playing the 6 teams over and over again and it would be helpful if we did a little Marner-Tavares and a little Matthews-Nylander once in a while.

As much as I usually prefer to have continuity there is something to what you say. Especially, as you say, because we are playing the same teams so many times.

I mean If this is slumping then Marner and Matthews are getting fair value contracts. Which they are by the way

This thread is aging...beautifully

marner is indeed slumping. he looks like he’s playing in playoff games these last couple games.

it’s too bad too, he’s had a great season, but he currently looks like he doesn’t care again, like how he “just wasn’t into” the playoff games.

Who are you quoting?

Are you talking about his current Call of Duty stats, or is this supposed to be somehow related to him actually playing hockey?

M&M sitting 4th and 5th in league points... the slumpiest of slumps

Last time a leaf finished top-5 in scoring was Sundin in 4th in 01-02.

Before that it was dougie finishing 4th in 93-94.

Before that it was Sittler finishing 3rd in 77-78.

Before that you have to go back to the 6 team NHL when Mahovlich did it 3 times in a row from 61 to 63.

The last time the Leafs had TWO players finish top 5 in scoring? I have no idea. Somewhere deep on the original 6 era where Toronto had 1/6th of all the players in the league.

It's already obvious Matthews and Marner are going to be the greatest Maple Leafs in franchise history.

The fact they are so young, and we are yet to see the best of what they are going to produce, is incredibly exciting.

to think this team could become Matthews, Marner and McDavid when Tavares nears retirement is not out the realm of possibility with this Toronto franchise either.

If by the grace of God we land McDavid, Lord Stanley will be ours...as long as Freddy isn’t in net

the first line seems to be quiet the past several games, i havent really tuned in to the games much but curious about the 1st line.

Is marner in a slump as in not making good plays etc which is resulting in the line going cold
or is matthews just not finishing?
Haven’t tuned into the games much, huh?
