All clearly ahead of him. He should convert to W.

I would think he no longer is.
Never was. This was a Toronto centric narrative. Amazing player probably top 10 even with his playoff resume.
He is not better than Mcdavid, Draisaitl, Makar, Mackinnon or Kucherov. Id take Quinn Hughes over him too and then there are a bunch of other players that its debatable.

The tier he is in for me is as follows. Rantanen, Pasternak, Kaprizov, Barkov, Eichel, Sid, M Tkachuk, Connor, Nylander, Heiskanen and Point.

Then there are several other players pushing up to that, that are younger and are coming.

Top 5 talent? Sure.

Top 5 playoff performer? Nope.
You think he is more talented than Mcdavid, Mackinnon, Kucherov, Draisaitl and Makar? No shot for me.

AM at his best is a goal scorer like Ovechkin minus the leadership, physical play and ring. AM may yet find success but now he's basically a guy with a great shot who no longer seems to have that great shot. Still very good but certainly not top-five.

Nope. He needs to go on a playoff run where he shows up and leads Toronto to the finals before he gets to enter top 5 discussions. What he's done in the playoffs has eliminated him from the elite of the elite. He is a garbage playoff performer and has a horrible attitude.
