When it matters, he’s effectively a 2nd line, defensively responsible centre at best.

These players are ahead of him for sure and I'm probably putting Pasta ahead of him as well as he's put of 3 straight 100 point seasons averaging 50+ goals per year.

You can argue Matthews in the 8-10 area or 10-15 area imo.
 
What a fall from grace. 14 months ago, most Leaf fans thought Matthews was on par with McDavid.
This opinion was always ridiculous. The dirty little secret about Matthews is that he is a poor playmaker, with very little vision to create plays that McDavid the other great centers in NHL history possess. Quite honestly, he would be better suited playing left wing.

Are all players id definitely take over him the 6-15 range is probably there he belongs at this point so I voted top 10 cause I like goals.
