He was absolutely garbage last year too, outside of a single shot.I just dont think it’s limited to this series.
Nobody doubts the skill, the flash, the passion. But the guy seems to routine turn into a floater in the playoffs, and the last two years have been particularly glaring.
He’ll almost always collect points, but in terms of driving play or taking over games, Im not sure there are many guys in his price range that do it less when the games matter.
Thoughts?

He was being highlighted even after a game 6 winJack Hughes had only 2 points at 5v5.
Panarin is only being highlighted because the Rangers lost.
Absolutely garbage?
He had 16 points in 20 games.
Came in to say ‘this should have been a poll’.Add a poll. Now.
But yes
Almost entirely on the PP and secondary assists. They were empty points. He even called himself out for how poor his play was last offseasonJack Hughes had only 2 points at 5v5.

He was, yes. The same as Fox, Zibanejad, Kreider, Kane, Trocheck, Miller and so on.He was being highlighted even after a game 6 win
He would’ve been highlighted if they won tonight
He was god awful…again
He said he felt he could have done better but to say he was absolutely trash is a ridiculous statement to make.Almost entirely on the PP and secondary assists. They were empty points. He even called himself out for how poor his play was last offseason
Timo Meier had a big goose egg this series.
Hell no.
The Rangers are just a slow, soft, offensively inept team with no system and a caveman for a coach. If he were on a team that went to the net, knew how to transition, etc he would be doing just fine in the playoffs like he did under Torts.
He's junk.
