I passively wanted them to win... but I also voted "Colorado in 5" in the thread before the series started. Now I fear I might be wrong; looks like it very likely won't reach game 5.

They made it through a tissue-soft division against a LA team that was clearly in "just happy to be there" territory and a Calgary team that hasn't been a legit contender since 2004.

Put Edmonton in the Atlantic and they are getting definitely getting crushed by Tampa or Toronto and likely also against Florida or Boston. They were never really a Cup threat.

I thought about it and decided I want McDavid to win a cup...that way he can walk away in a few years as a UFA and come home not owing anything to Edmonton and can fulfill a childhood dream. I also think the world is flat...

I don't understand cheering for the remaining or last Canadian team to win. Fans of the other Canadian NHL teams can't stand the Maple Leafs and laugh with delirium at their constant failures. If the Leafs were the last Canadian team standing they'd be hoping for us to lose in embarrassing fashion. Why should I cheer for their team to win?

I'm thrilled the Oilers are out and get to play with some brooms.

After all the first overall picks, keep losing anyway, finally lucking into McDavid, still sucking while managing to maintain an insecured fanbase who quickly become arrogant when they do win, I have no real desire to see them win anything.

I honestly don't care what other fans think of the Leafs and their opinion has no influence on who I cheer for. That said, I'd have a tough time cheering for Vancouver or Winnipeg if either were the remaining Canadian team.
