I thought about it and decided I want McDavid to win a cup...that way he can walk away in a few years as a UFA and come home not owing anything to Edmonton and can fulfill a childhood dream. I also think the world is flat...

Nope, until OUR LEAFS win another Cup, and break the hapless streak, I ain't cheering for another Canadian based team ever.

If the fans of other Canadian NHL teams weren't such pricks towards OUR LEAFS, I might be able to cheer for their teams. Until they respect MY TEAM, I will HATE THEIR TEAMS !!!

McDavid is leaving Edmonton regardless of if he wins a cup there or not. I expect him to come to Toronto, but if it looks like the Leafs are headed for yet another rebuild at that point, he'll go somewhere else to win.

Yep, so he can come home to our Leafs and the country club with no desire to win a cup !!! No thanks to that !!!

I used to always watch the playoffs and cheer for any Canadian team remaining. I was so heartbroken when the Oilers lost in 06, same when Ottawa lost, and again for Vancouver. But when the Leafs lost in 2013, I really haven't watched any playoffs since then except for the Leafs.

It would be neat to see the Cup won by a Canadian franchise again, and I'd only cheer any other team on for that specific reason. Still, I'd actually rather see Colorado win that series...*cough* hockey pool *cough*.

I like players on both teams and never really interact with fans of other teams so that's not a factor for me.
