Injury Report: Injury Thread Pt. II (Del Zotto has surgery to repair sports hernia)

Good thing Torts called out Hags for stinking on the PP while he was playing with a torn labrum. Good on you coach, good on you.
Even with his labrums in pristine condition, I don't think he's going to be a legitimate PP threat. His even strength production was a higher rate than his powerplay production this year.

Wait. Hold on a ****ing second.

You're telling me Cally did THIS

with a torn labrum in THAT SHOULDER??

I believe that's with the ****ed up one, too.

that's what he said under the picture haha

but mann do i feel bad about thinking cally quit... i mean in the playoffs he looked subpar too but 51 games?!!? that's incredible.

didn't even think about this being related to the one caused by talbott, but i'm sure that made it easier to rip

hags made some huge plays in the playoffs too

Not questioning either of them, but just wondering how much does a torn labrum hurt? Must've been insane, especially that Cally hit.

Glad to hear captain cally and @CarlHagelin had successful surgeries. Speedy recovery!

Am I the only one who thinks it's beyond stupid that both of them played for as long as they did with such serious injuries? I don't see that as "heart" or "courage", I see that as stupidity. Callahan dragged this team down 9 nights out of 10 with his play and suddenly his season and play was commendable because he was injured? I say it makes it 10x worse that he was dumb enough to continue playing. Cally is just making his potentially short career shelf life even shorter by doing stuff like this. Whatever, it's over and done with now, can only look towards next season.

we had a ****** enough bottom 6 throughout the year, what would it have looked like without hagelin and callahan in the line up?

Callahan never looked 100% to me...in regular season and playoffs. I also suspected he was playing injured because he is always a lot more visible than he was this season.

Its amazing how well he did points wise in regular season despite playing with the injury. If he is healthy next season, I'm expecting a bit more production!:)

Feeling "comfortable" because regular names like Callahan and Hagelin are in the lineup don't always equate to good things. You're right though, we were such a force with those two continuously in the lineup. Those blind behind-the-back passes Callahan kept making worked flawlessly and Hagelin's offense really carried on throughout the season.

I would have rather chalked this season up as one to forget and let whatever happened while the both of them had their surgeries back in February and recovered.

Anyway that's not what I was talking about. Just that it was stupid to keep playing with severe injuries while already playing a short shelf life game in a **** show of a season.

I do wonder whether they would have played out the season if we had our 1st rounder

I've been quite vocal on my displeasure with Callahan as a hockey player, but you can't really question his guts. I feel pretty bad for calling him lazy throughout the season. #Respect.

Oh and Hags too. Still was one of team's best forwards with a labrum tear.

Yeah, that's what impresses me the most. I thought Hagelin was one of our better players in the playoffs, period. When did the tear occur? Hagelin was tearing it up earlier in the Washington series offensively, but didn't really get back on the scoresheet all too much after game four.

No pun intended? :sarcasm:
