Moore is playing <10min TOI. MDZ gets >22min TOI, what would Moore's game look like pushing 20-25 min TOI. I'm sure we would see some warts. Hopefully next year Moore's TOI will increase once he settles in.

Maybe Moore should get more ice time, especially on the PP. Him and Stralman. At least those two get their shots through to the net. It is pretty clear Torts has wanted and does want a shot on net with guys standing in front to screen and get the garbage goal. But you need to get the shot on net for that to happen.

Maybe del zotto's time should be cut back from 25 to 21-22 minutes and Moore's ice time from 10 to 13-14 minutes.

I think the GTA boys struggled last night, especially DZ. I think its a combination of fatigue and trying to impress family, friends and media.
In retrospect, Hank should have rested last night, especially since it was the 3rd game in 4 nights, coming off a 49 shot game in Carolina on Saturday. I believe we have only one more back to back game this year, and I don't see Biron starting in any of them, unless we're in, an he rests Hank the last game or two (I don't think so, since I beleive it will come down to the last day probably).

Hammer got hurt reaching over the table for the last piece of bread in the players lounge. From: @AGrossRecord

Torts says D Roman Hamrlik, not on the ice for the morning skate, is "banged up." Hamrlik has been a healthy scratch last three games.

You know you are old when you get injured while being a healthy scratch.

When Staal or Hammer return, can we send Gilroy down to Hartford? He'll actually be useful there instead of taking up space for no apparent reason on the Rangers. Why do we need to run 9 defensemen? If a rash of injuries suddenly hit us, we can always recall someone. It's not as if Hartford is in New Zealand. Two of these players should be sent down to the Whale.

Staal
McDonagh
Girardi
MDZ
Moore
Stralman

Eminger
Hammer
Gilroy

Go Staalsy Go Staalsy GO! Hoping for some good news.

He breaks up so many plays by just using his stick. He's dearly missed out there.

I think it's unlikely. He'd have to clear waivers.

Whoever runs the Rangers Instagram (presumably Cerny) is like a teenager that just started using it. They put a filter on EVERY picture

“@AGrossRecord: Staal getting used to visor, has to work on conditioning. Says he could play with vision less than 100 percent.”

“@NYDNRangers: Staal can't give a timetable for his return but is encouraged and looks surprisingly good w slight bump above right eye”

I wonder why he's being held out.. obv its seeing so its huge.. but around the nhl guys put on a facemask and play with broken bones, blacked eyes etc.. I wonder whats holding this up..

he looks like hes got good vision judging by the pic now, maybe more conditioning?

How can you tell how his vision looks by looking at a picture?

Looks like his left eye still has lots of blood in it.

It's more of a conditioning thing if anything. He just started skating yesterday, he would need at least a week of hard skating before he's in game condition.

I say he's back April 21, for the Devils game at MSG.
