Ask not what your team can do for you, but what you can do for your team.

Too many STILL can't see the forest for the trees. Rogers and Bell's stock prices fluctuate more in any given month than ML$E is worth ffs. These companies are sooooo rich they don't care what happens to the team.

It just has to exist.

The fact it's mediocre is irrelevant. The fact it's a hockey team is irrelevant. The fact it actually makes money is irrelevant

This team could be a dynasty, winning every year for the next decade, and it STILL wouldn't significantly affect it's parents companies revenues.

Rogers and Bell don't care about the Toronto Maple Leafs. They don't care about winning. And they don't care about you either.

Rogers and Bell only care about Rogers and Bell and what anyone else can do for them.

This notion that the Leafs only care about money is nonsensical and strangely echoed by many. In fact, teams can generate the most profit by going on long runs in the playoffs, as the additional tickets sales are not offset by more player compensation.

Winning a cup is just hard. There is a lot of parity in the league. While we all expect them to have done better in the past few years, I hardly believe it’s because they only care about money. If that were the case we’d just be a cap floor team.
