The Sabres need an expansion draft

Give their current roster to new Ownership in Houston in the summer

Get an expansion team in the summer

Pegula won't sell unless it comes to light he is a rapist, murderer, kidnapper, largely hateful rascist etc.,

He may be incompetent at owning the Sabres. But the Sabres still make money for him and he isnt harming the leagues reputation in any way so the league cant force him to sell like NBA with Donald Sterling
Who is a rascist? What does this hateful villain do?

Well without Dahlin the team can't win a game, even with his bad back he was our best defenseman/player. Byram only thrived with Dahlin, Jokiharju only looked decent with Dahlin. Now Power, Byram, Bryson and Jokiharju in our top 4 look like soft clowns on defense. Our defense is built wrong and trading for Byram made little sense. Instead, idiot Adams should have found two top 4 defensive-minded RDs. But here we are.
I like Dahlin, a lot. Haven't given up on Power, either. Byram... not terrible, definitely has a place a team that needs some speed and puck handling on the back end. You're absolutely right, though. The mix is wrong. What's more, I don't think that it is a merely a personnel problem. Players haven't been guided and rewarded for playing in a way that fits the mold of the team...because there isn't one. The coaches and management don't know what style of team they are or should be, nvm getting the players to execute a gameplan. They just throw them out on the ice and tell them to win.

I'll pitch in 20 so I can be named GM
green Bay style ownership we all pay 20 dollars a month own the team pegula gets 90 percent of the gate until hell freezes over and we win 51 percent w city

nobody that hasn't watched at least from 1970 to 1990 until now can own voting shares and vote is only for 66bpercent nonconfidebce to hire fire a president of Hockey operation that will have complete control w 3 year city evaluation that renews control to hire fire GM who is in complete control or roster contracts and pres hires staff scout hopefully in the beane McD model w trusted pres holds will of the people

or pitchforks nooses and video from Penn State to here surfaces on dark web , this city dark and gloomy needs real Hockey and we were close past3 years but feel sabotaged by who what that's for new pres and actual public investigation team to root out all possibility of man made dark cloud over franchise individuals that affect and even reporters and old business way of life will overexposed and shown to season ticket holders as some verification of fact finding to start in September or Oct before us economy crashed anyway

I've watched the Sabres since the early 70's. I was born 2 months after the team played it's first ever game. I was 5, in the Aud, 2 rows up with my mom and dad at the Fog Game in the 75 finals. I've been a die Hard fan my entire life. No reason to list the calamities the organization has endured during my fan tenure, they're now legendary with any Sabres fan, well, at least those that are left.

The owner Terry Pegula, ya, sell the team, it's time.
Usually you guys come out on the main boards to gloat after a hot start then the team crashes down hard.

I think this thread is an excellent reverse jinx strategy, I'm willing to bet now the Sabres will make the playoffs just because of it.

I respect your passion. The Sabres fascinate me. Admittedly, I am not a fan of the team and thus don't know/don't care like a diehard, but it's still a mystery. I totally get, obviously, why Pegula is/is perceived to be a horrific owner, but all those great players the Sabres gave away over the years? They were traded for/drafted/played to begin with. That means there were a lot of good decisions along the way. The team has had -- and still has! -- amazing players over the past 15 years or so. And if I'm being honest, hires like Krueger I thought were innovative ways to break out of the old boys' coaching carousel. So, so, so many of the other teams in the league, like my Habs, have/continue to have atrocious management and ownership, often even more penny-pinching. Why exactly are the Sabres worse? It really is quite weird.
We've done it for 13 probably 14 years of no playoffs and have hit dead last in the league 4 times.....The Canadians were literally in the SCF not too long ago.

There could be many reasons. First of all, we didn't need Byram, we already had two left-handed PMD in Dahlin and Power, why do you need a third? Our coach also doesn't like it when a defenseman plays on the wrong side. Dahlin and Power both never had a reliable guy to play with, a mentor or something like that, it's just ridiculous. We also had such stupid coaches as Housley and Krueger. Granato was a kind uncle for them who didn't ask questions. Our defense and PK coach looks very questionable. Our GM's faith in Jokiharju is just off the charts, he has nothing to match Dahlin or Power, he has no chemistry with them, he is not great in defense, he is not physical. He constantly runs into attack and sometimes a goal or a dangerous moment comes from there. Also, Power, Byram, Bryson and Jokiharju can't play physically near the net, a ton of goals came from there.

As you can see, there are many reasons here, and these are not all that I have listed.

Fans here are just weary of the bull shit from ownership. 13 seasons of crap, time for Pegula to move on.

Didn’t I see you cheating on your wife at a Pete’s Bar and Grille last year?

See I can make things up that aren’t based in reality too

To move them, a lot of billionaires/groups. To keep them in Buffalo, tougher.

That's what I am wondering, being exactly who in Buffalo would be a purchaser for the Sabres?

Phoenix lost the Coyotes because nobody in Phoenix was willing to step up and buy out Meruelo.

Certainly, if the Sabres went on the block, the Atlanta group would probably make a bid ..... but that moves the team to Atlanta.

The bottom line being that if Buffalo wants a team, they are probably stuck with Pegula.

Phoenix lost the Coyotes because they literally had no place to play ala the Thrashers. Bettman would sooner cut off his cock on live TV with a rusty razor than allow a relocation because it would be the same as taking billions of dollars in expansion fees and burning it in a giant pile.

It was not in the 2020s lol. Remember those Eichel, Skinner and co hot starts? I remember very well 2018-2019, was it November where you guys were at the top? It was unsufferable.

Burning villages and all...

Hosestly they should just do nothing......Let it ride for the next 2-3 years and just see what it turns into.....I don't think it's a good idea to over think every little thing every time there's a bump in the road..............

Lindy has only been back for 28 games....UPL only has 119 NHL games played.....A lot of other players are very young and even some of their established guys are still young too......

Just leave it alone.........

In a weird way I agree with this take, no point in doing a rebuild 3.0. Just see what you have in a year or two.

However, there is something deeply rotten in Buffalo.

They’ve already spent the last 2-3 years riding it out. The Sabres were in a great spot to be really aggressive and make moves to improve the roster and be better. Instead they sat on their hands and did jack shit

I think it's rather hysterical how they blow big leads. Not haha funny, more funny because they should be making the playoffs by now and if they were coached by a better coach (or may I say exact same roster on a team like Chicago or Nashville) they'd probably be a contender by now.

I think Buffalo is 2-3 seasons into becoming the replacement for the Arizona Coyotes.
