No business winning that game but it happens. Didn’t watch anything but the third, what’s the word on the first game by Knies. Hopefully he looked comfortable out there.

He looked comfortable and tried to engaged. Saw glimpses of his forechecking potential. Physically ready for the NHL and his speed is fine at this level.

He just didn't entirely know where to be on the ice at times which mostly looked like he just hasn't practiced with the team before, which is entirely true. Additionally he was thrown in a line blender so that didn't help things.

A couple of rough turnovers in the third, but that's going to happen.

Knies looked exactly like a guy coming right out of college without a practice would be heading into his first game

Oddly enough he didn't look out of place though. Being thrown with different line mates doesn't help. Some practice time and time will help find his positioning with his linemates.
I was impressed. Just one rough shift. I don’t think he played in the 3rd? or not very much.

Also I was a bit surprised Keefe didn't give Knies a chance in that 3 on 3 OT .. Maybe he intended to at some point but that got derailed in the second half, but asides from Marner's 100th point, I would have thought him getting out there would have been fun.
