ITS TIME WE START SUPPORTING MORE INTERNATIONAL WOMANS HOCKEY IN THIS FORUM SO MAKING THIS POST :D

STARTS TOMORROW LAST YEAR SWEDEN MADE IT TO THE FINALS AND WON SILVER... AND THE CZE TEAM BEAT AMERICANS IN PRE TOURNAMENT SO LOOKS LIKE UNDER 18 WOMANS HOCKEY COULD BE GETTING MORE COMPETITIVE GAMES FOR TOMORROW ARE

FINLAND VS CZE
GERMANY VS CANADA

GROUP B
SWEDEN VS SWITZERLAND

TOURNAMENT IS IN SWITZERLAND ALSO.

yea they are slovakia vs usa tomorrow.. sweden vs switz stats i 10mins

finland beats cze 3-2 in a close game to openn tournament.

TSN is only streaming Canada, USA, and Slovakia games and it looks like the NHLN will be using the TSN stream for these games.

 
germany team coming from division below so i am expacting a canadian win by 8 or double digits lol
 
I ALSO NOTICE THE GROUPS ARE EVENLY SPLIT THIS TIME AND NOT GROUP A OF STRONG AND GROUP B OF WEAKER. I THINK IT IS TIME FOR WOMENS HOCKEY TO ADOPT THIS MODEL. IRONICALLY I WOULDN'T BE OPPOSED TO THE WJC'S TAKING ON THE OTHER MODEL TBH

WHOEVER IS RANKED 5TH AT THE TIME (TODAY THAT WOULD BE CZECHS)

NOTHING BUT CLOSE GAMES. NOT SURE HOW TO DO QUARTERS THOUGH WITHOUT BLOWOUTS. I DON'T WANT BYES.

Would love to see slovakia make a semi final run but i doubt the 15 year old girl will be enough for that no matttr how good she is
 
feel sorry for this german girls lol. almost 2 mins in and they not got the puck into canada zone besides a clearing. and now a penalty and 1-0 canada.

Agreed I think they can do it at the World's now as there isn't really a top 4 anymore as there is a top 2 and then teams who are fairly equal.

The Germans are going to get routes as shots are 10-0, 7 minutes into the game.

the puck barely leaves there zone and if it does its for like 10 seconds max lol. these girls gonna be dead from the pressure by end of 1st or half way thru 2nd.
 
I BET IF YOU WERE TO ASK THEM, THE WEAK TEAMS WOULD RATHER SHARE THE ICE WITH THE POWERHOUSE TEAMS IN A LOPSIDED LOSS THAN NOT HAVE THAT OPPORTUNITY.

Probably, but I just don't think they're ready for it. Keep in mind, under the old format they would have faced the top teams after first proving their ability by qualifying in their own division.

yikes man even a german powerplay and its still not even close canada dominating them 4 vs 5 lol.
