Despite the 3 goals today, among all the KHL goalies who played over a dozen games, he's first in GAA and second in SV%, trailing first place by .001%. There are a plenty of recent NHL goalies playing in the KHL.

He said he's not injured from the Telegin attack.

Championat.com named him one of the players of the season halfway through the season.

Bad rebound giveaway there. To be an NHL starter, that needs to get fixed.

And another goal. Not a great one either. Needed to cut the angle better. Poor period against a weak team.

Meh, maybe not the greatest rebound but he rarely does that, not anymore more than a NHL goalie.

Second goal was a great backhand from a high scoring percentage area...i'd blame the defense more on that for letting him walk in so close.

First shoot out save similar to Richter stopping Bure in the SCF, spreading his legs, moving left.

Second one is an easy gloves save by reading the Joke player properly.

Third save spreading the legs and stopping the puck with his blocker.

Good job in the SO.

"Need to fix it to be an NHL starter". Because NHL starters don't give up bad goals?

watched highlights of that game.

wow. crazy. this kid is just so talented. that was fun too watch

shestyorkin, if he continues to develop on this trajectory, will be a crazy good goaltender.

so reminds me of another freak athletic goalie few years back

dominik hasek.

Can't wait for Benny Allaire to get his hands on him

I see no actual resemblance in his game to Hasek at all.

He's very athletic but plays a much more stylistically classic game. I fail to remotely see a Hasek comparison.

Nice saves on 1 and 3. The 2nd one he must have been like "Dude ..are you serious?" He didn't bite at all on the attempt

Hasek was a freak. He did not follow any rules, he'd face away from the shooter, roll over to make a save, drop his glove, drop his stick. He did everything wrong, but it was genius because he violated the rules of goaltending in a way that helped him even though it looked crazy. Hasek is probably the best goalie ever, he just didn't play on good teams the way Brodeur and Roy did.

Hasek put up crazy numbers considering he played in a high scoring era. In 1993-94, Richter was one of the top goalies in the game playing behind a team that went on to win the Presidents Trophy and the Stanley Cup. He put up 2.57 and .910. Glenn Healy was his backup, and universally regarded as one of the best backups in the game, and he had 3.03 and .878. Hasek had 1.95 and .930, and he was playing on a team that would've failed to make the playoffs without him. That's insane for that era.
