Shows you how much Georgiev sucks.
Georgiev doesn't suck as much as he's in the wrong organization for what he brings to the table. He needs more of a workload to play well. The more games he plays, the better he is.

He has played well for us at stretches of a time but we need someone who can play more competently with sporadic starts than he does.

This is an absolutely bonkers stat:

Yeah, this one is really hard to read, but, the big numbers are projected (prorated 82 GP), and the smaller numbers are his pace this season (prorated 82 GP). One player adding 8.1 wins in a season is f***ing insane.

Yeah Georgiev is a bit of a catch-22 because he has the talent and track record to be an above average starter when he gets a good stretch of games, but obviously is not as good when playing sporadically. Having a guy like that is a great insurance policy in case your starter suffers an injury, as we saw in December when Shesty missed most of the month. But you can't build a roster with the expectation that your starter is going to get hurt, so I agree with you that we need more of a veteran backup who can thrive in the role of a spot starter, even if he might get exposed during a longer run of play.

Greiss from Detroit and George to Edmonton?

Heard Vally say some crazy stat about how many times Igor has lost two games in a row this season, but forget the exact way he phrased it. Anyone know the answer to this though?

He has only lost 2 in a row once this season, to Vancouver and Calgary, and the Vancouver loss was in OT. So he hasn't gone 2 games in a row without getting at least 1 point.

Thanks! Thought he said something like that, but it sounded so insane I assumed it was after a specific date.

The entire season? That's just downright crazy.

The team itself has lost three games in a row one time and even then they picked up two OTL points. The team does not have a streak all season of getting fewer than two points in a three game span.

Still has an outside chance at the Hart.

Definitely top3.

Getting his GAA into the 1's may help... along with actually winning the Metro.

He now has a healthy lead in SV% and GAA, now that Freddy shit the bed the other day.

Crazy how even with the cold spell he just went through there really isn't anyone threatening him for the Vezina at the moment. Hadn't realized Sorokin was next in line - not surprising though considering he plays behind a team that ices 5 defensemen
