Feeling it
Did you see Richter tear his groin?
Yes and his knee and the shot to his face. All terrible. The way he was helped off was similar
Did you see Richter tear his groin?
seems like he loaded up that right hip pretty heavy, hope he didn't dislocate it or tear a labrum or something. that looked agonizingMaybe his back?
Doubtful to be a back, but technically isnt lower back still lower body?
Could be his back. If you’ve ever pinched a nerve in your back, it’s awful. Pain radiating from the groin to the leg, no idea where it’s coming from.
the hip is the one that scares me. Not ideal at all for a goalie. Knees can be repaired easily. Hips not so much
Career ending?? A bit extreme..With the way he looked leaving the ice, you really have to worry if the injury is career ending. Even if he's gone for the rest of the season, if he can be back to 100%, we've dodged a bullet. Praying for the best.
I had this happen to me a couple years ago. I had to use my upper body to crawl and drag my carcass off the floor and onto the couch. Couldn't walk or stand up for several days. Sleeping was hard trying to find a position that didn't cause excruciating pain.I pulled my back a couple months ago. I was putting my laundry from the hamper into my bag, they were both on the ground and just leaning down, and I think I tweaked my sciatic nerve and my lower right side was completely messed up. it was the entire area from my right hip down to my glute and upper hamstring. it was the most excruciating pain I’ve ever felt. I couldn’t move. I had to lean on my bed just to find a position where I wasn’t dying when it first happened. I had to use a cane the next couple days just to move, and getting out of bed was a nightmare, not to mention trying to use the bathroom.
now I’m not an athlete and I’m sure these athletes have significantly higher thresholds of pain, but I’m praying it’s a lower back thing. you can see him leaning forward as he’s doing the splits so just maybe he tweaked his back and he’ll be fine in a week or two.
If it's the hip, it can be seriously bad news. Perhaps it won't be career ending but he may not be the same player, which would be really bad since so much of what makes him so good has to do with how he moves with his lower body. Career altering may be the better word.Career ending?? A bit extreme..
I sincerely hope so. Sometimes these non-contact injuries are the worst...But Richter jammed his leg into the post going side to side. Just dont see it as severe as that
I wasn't crawling, but I could not walk without any support and I had to slump over using a cane when walking and had to grab onto the walls and furniture with my other hand. It was made worse when I was lying in bed the first night and trying to make myself comfortable and I felt it tweak further. I absolutely pinched a nerve to begin with, I felt it, then I pinched it a little more when lying in bed. It took a few days before I could walk without a cane, and it was about a week before I could walk normally, though twisting my back in some directions still hurt. It took about 3-4 weeks before I could move exactly freely without feeling any pain at all.I had this happen to me a couple years ago. I had to use my upper body to crawl and drag my carcass off the floor and onto the couch. Couldn't walk or stand up for several days.

if he dislocated his hip, he may not be the same player again.Career ending?? That's way too extreme. If it's really a groin injury, he'll be out the rest of the season AT WORST.
I’m not gonna lie I actually put a lot of stock in this, idk why, maybe it’s what I’ve consumed tonight but if it were career ending or even really serious he would be in testing or something for mris etc.He recently liked a photo from an official instagram post about the win not happening without him. I'd like to think if his season was in jeopardy, he wouldn't be scrolling Instagram atm liking vids of himself.
Depends where he is. MRIs aren’t always performed at night as an injury like this isn’t an emergency. Is he in a hospital or did the team docs let him go home and schedule him for imaging tomorrow? Stuff like that plays a role in the timing of figuring out what’s going on here.I’m not gonna lie I actually put a lot of stock in this, idk why, maybe it’s what I’ve consumed tonight but if it were career ending or even really serious he would be in testing or something for mris etc.
That’s what I’m going with... I’m sticking too it... for now
Different injuries. Different times, too. It makes me feel old AF, but the Richter days were 2, 2 1/2 decades ago. Athletes have come a long way since then. So has surgery, medicine, and training.I sincerely hope so. Sometimes these non-contact injuries are the worst...
This is a wee bit dramatic.
Probably a muscle tear of some sort. Unless his skate got caught in a rut and we didn't see it Its hard to imagine that it's a knee.
either way, it looked bad. Hopefully it was more painful than it looked.
Not sure if anyone else shared this
