I wish there were a 3rd option:

3. Would care less than before.

This...I'll never stop being a fan and rooting them on, I don't even think I could if I tried, been cheering for them for too long. But if they do lose tonight, I'll care a little less than I did before which already has been happening after all the devastating heartbreak losses, it's just not good for your health to be so emotionally invested in the Leafs.

i play hockey so even if the Leafs lose i will always be a fan of the sport. i am more a fan of players than teams. Potvin, Cujo, Belfour, Reimer, Campbell, Price, Fleury, Tretiak. I love goalies. It was the 90s goalies (Potvin, Cujo, Belfour) that inspired me to become a goalie. I will always be a Leaf fan, but I am also a fan of Carolina, Vegas, Seattle, and whoever has an inspirational goaltender (Ottawa's goalie Gustaffson i think, Spencer Knight and Thatcher Demko look promising). I may very well also become a Habs fan if we lose. But the Leafs will always be my #1 team because I love cheering for the underdog.

How stupid will it be if I say Yes I wont be a fan and then they end up winning the Cup in the next 5 years? Better to just stick with the team but also be a fan of other teams, be a fan of great hockey.

this is the most Vancouver Canuck fan Poll I've ever seen. We're better than this shit

in the grand scheme of things, so what. they hurt us year in and year out. It's part of being a fan of the team. Imagine how sweet it must have felt for Red Sox and Cubs fans when they finally got over the hump. I'm on this train until i'm 6 feet under. I'll be as upset as the rest of you in here if they lose tonight, but My life won't change either way.

i said the same thing last year (that i wouldnt watch the leafs) but ended up watching all the game recaps in the shortened reg season because i was bored and had nothing else to do lol

also its hard NOT to pay attention when they made an interesting format (North Division) and the Leafs were FIRST place for practically the whole season. The rise of Jack Campbell, Spezza, Galchenyuk and others only added more intrigue.

No, but it will be a real f***ing let down and there better be changes! Marner better be shipped out.

Don’t protect Marner in the expansion draft and pray Seattle takes him.

Passionate fans when disappointed usually maintain their love of the team while singling out/scapegoating specific players.

Maple Leafs fans have a long history of this. Just ask Phaneuf, Larry Murphy and Jake Gardiner, or any of the other 45 I didn't mention.

If you quit, the trolls win.

Just remember that no matter what happens, it means something to be part of the community of Leaf Nation, even if does come with untold suffering, even if the heartbreak and losses will always outweigh the wins.

We were here before Keefe and Dubas and Shanahan and Matthews and Marner and Rielly and we will be here long after they are all gone. They are only the custodians of the franchise right now but they do not define it. We do. We must remain steadfast and believe that tomorrow will be a better day. It's why I will never be ashamed to say...

GO LEAFS GO!!!
Oh I will be here but I'm sure you would agree that the Burke/Nonis years were unbearable around here. Leaf fans literally trolling each other. Didn't even need the other trolls. Could you imagine this summer if we lose tonight?

I'm all in on the Leafs but I feel like I will care less about the offseason moves. Like, I feel like we have an amazing team here and I'm not quite sure how to make it better.

I'll always be a Leafs fan. Butt didn't watch at all this year. Call me when Dubas is gone. who would've thunk hiring a rookie GM to handle a team that just drafted AM could go wrong?

Oh.... Everyone with a brain. MLSEs' incompetence and wokeness is intolerable imho

No. But I am definitely going to extremely limit my game watching content of them until they at the absolute least win a playoff round.

I won't stop being a fan. but this is the first time in my life I am genuinely PISSED. Were usually the underdog clawing our way in. But not this year, this year we were supposed to be different. We won the division, Matthews wins the rocket and then gets 1 goal in 7 f***ing games against the goalies hes scores most against? UN-f***ING-ACCEPTABLE

I voted yes -in reality I'll take at least a season off of being really interested, and I don't think I'll ever get back to where I was.

Even if they somehow win this game now, I can't enjoy leaf hockey.
