Exactly!

Utah Grizzlies
Utah Bighorns

Salt Lake Stingers
Salt Lake Stallions

Give me mountain themed jersey trim. And don’t get cartoonish with the logo. Simple.
Do not like the name Stallions. Sounds like a porno.

Some itteration of sting for the beehive state. Sting / Stingers / Swarm

I like Cutthroat but probably not a good name for a hockey team.

Rattlers?

I don't know yet. I'm still working through the grief.

I'll likely go back to supporting the Sabres more again (because holy f*** am I a glutton for punishment).

As for this team? I just don't know yet. Probably won't know for some time.

NO. Not for Utah. Maybe I will cheer for some players, maybe for Buffalo but only to the date/day Coyotes back to the NHL.

This.

I have waited for a long time to see my Jets 1.0 be good. There is so much promise right now. Excited to see how Bill Armstrong's plan plays out.

IF the team moves, they better have a fantastic jersey (not stupid name).

And they better keep the core and management.

I cannot forgive that shit city for the MakeItSeven underhanded actions from years past.

Seems a bit harsh.

The campaign was about Jim Balsillie trying to buy the team, wasn't it? To bring it to Hamilton. Not Winnipeg.

I get some of the anger though. I watched my team leave my hometown to go to an untested non-hockey market. It hurt.

This will hurt less for me as the Coyotes are the only connection I have to Arizona.

As I've worked through my sadness, and answered the poll with "maybe" during my sadness, I think I'm leaning towards yes. I'm too excited about the young core the team is building. However, what I foresee happening is that some of my passion and love will be gone, and might fade over time. The team would likely swap places with the Tampa Bay Lightning, with the Bolts taking over the #1 spot and the Utah team dropping down to #2. As the roster turns over, my love for the team would likely fade even more, and several years down the line the roster might become unrecognizable, as well as Bill Armstrong and Andre Tourigny eventually departing. At that point they may become "just another team" for me.

Yes. But you know what? A small but extremely vocal group of Winnipeg fans online were some of the loudest boosters of the MakeItSeven campaign. ANYWHERE BUT ARIZONA, they yelled. It'd be the equivalent of us flooding the Quebec City message boards after the Coyotes leave for SLC, cheering, celebrating, and attacking QC fans and saying, "At least our team didn't go to your shitty, useless, Montreal-lite goat town, you absolute armadillo's ass cheeks! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA"

Hell, even today, I just got trolled by a Winnipeg fan who told me, "Now you know how we felt, but at least WE SUPPORTED OUR TEAM." And yes, this is a fan WHO ALREADY HAS A NEW TEAM BACK IN HIS CITY TO CHEER FOR.

Harsh? Nah, I don't think it's so harsh. In certain circumstances, maybe a little harshness is warranted.

I was thinking we should start a Coyotes fan Slack/Discord for non-Utah supporters. The AZ guys and the Canadian guys from on here.

HFB is still around but I think it’s gonna be toxic and I don’t know how welcome we’ll be at the beginning as UT folks start to find the place.

I hope overseas fans are welcome as well :D

edit: I'll probably follow that team IF GMBA, AT and the boys stays together. I'm a huge fan of Cools, Guenther, Keller, Durzi, Moser, Doan, Maccelli and others. As long as the team gets as far away as possible from that con artist AM and his little minion XG. (Un)fortunately I have no attachment to any area or state so that does not matter really. My heart is with you local fans.

I'm a Winnipeger. I support the team. Want them to stay in AZ for selfish (retirement) reasons. What this fan base has been through is worse than what any other fan base has ever been put through. So react how you want to react. If it's harsh. it's harsh. You are entitled.

It wont be easy.

I followed "my" team from Winnipeg to Arizona because I was invested in that roster (despite the awful Selanne trade). Many times I have questioned my fandom for this team but it is fandom afterall.

Fair enough. I am probably removed enough from it that it does not stick in my mind that much. Of course, I haven't lived in Winnipeg for 40 years and I still bristle a little when hockey folks bad mouth the city (so I understand holding a grudge).

Heck, as Coyotes fans we all have been dealing with ignorant comments for most of the teams existence.

I've already gotten over the worst of it during The Dark Day... I did have to cancel my Threads account because of the avalanche of trolls I was getting. I could have hit back with receipts but I realized I was tired of that game. I can finally be done with it now that the team's probably leaving. No more having to defend the indefensible... :D

I think, too, I hold out hope that our fanbase doesn't fall en masse into the pit that fans from Hartford, Winnipeg, QC, et al. have. I actually think Atlanta's fanbase has been, on the whole, a good model for ours... be sad, be angry, but don't be classless.

Anyway, I bear no ill will to Winnipeg or any other Canadian town, nor their mainline fans. It's just the exceptionally loud, vocal people who are getting their rocks off at other people's misery. Y'know, the "f*** Your Feelings" crowd... :sarcasm: Those bitches can go stick their faces in an acid pool.

Haha. Yes of course! I just meant a quarantine zone for bitter grumps who’ve followed the team through the last relocation or two. So as not to rain on the parade of the fresh fans.
