We've got endless Philly fans still processing their disappointment that he didn't become a #1D, but the truth is right now that Provorov is a pretty boring player. There's nothing much exciting about his game, and nothing much wrong with him either. You want a steady middle pair D? There you go.
Provorov has been pretty average defensively this year. He looked above average for the first month but has seemingly lost interest / focus. It lends the impression that he doesn't want to be a Jacket.
Hits are maybe average as well. But he takes contact with ease and is extremely durable. Foot speed is high end but he isn't above average in actual speed. Too many squats.
Teams trade late 1sts for middle pair D, it's not that rare.
