I think he ends up around $6.5M-$7.0M per year. East coast. Teams that will have room/make room for him in the Northeast I see are NYR, Sabres, Jersey, Boston, Toronto.

Had one spectacular season, cut short by injury. Was in contention for Norris. Every other season he has been solid but not outstanding. Really seems like a Yandle to me.

Free agency might be wacky next year. Expansion draft means GMs will have huge holes to fill, also Vegas will be adding 70M+ in flexible cap to the league that via the exp draft will be partially distributed to other teams. As a result, coming off of an off season where teams were paying steep prices to dump cap, we'll see an off season where teams have the most cap flexibility that they've had in a long time.

Agree on that but i strongly believe he would prefer playing for us over NJ but who knows. If they can offer more money i wouldnt be surprised if he signed with them.

He's actually a perfect fit for the Leafs they have the talent up front in Mathews Marner Nylander JVR etc

They have the guy in net who game is starting to round into form

And they have Gardiner and Reilly on the back end and Zaitsev is looking like a top 4 guy at this point too if Shattenkirk was brought in he would all but fix that D core i mean then you got

That top 4 can skate and generate a TON of offense

You do need to fix the bottom pair but those guys are MUCH easier to find

Maybe you bring in a guy like Girardi if he gets bought out to fill one of those holes I don't know.

Personally if it were me I would spend BIG on D and try yo sang both Shattenkirk and Alzner

And go with
