rangers would be silly not to resign Callahan.... he might demand a lot but I personally think hes worth it, especially because he IS the Captain. It would be AV's call and im scared he might chose Nash.

If we lose cally for whatever reason I imagine Richards is still being bought out. So I think Nash gets Richards "A" and Ryan MacDonagh gets a "C".

Can't imagine McDonagh getting a "C" when he has never even worn an "A". And AV had the opportunity to award McD an "A" with all the injuries this year, but opted to go with Nash instead.

I think it would be 3 "As" for a year or possibly give Staal or Girardi the captaincy if they are still around.

Well, currently Callahan has the C and both Staal and Richards have the A. Girardi wears the A if either Staal or Richards is out long term.

Now, assuming Callahan is traded, Richards is bought out, and Girardi is re-signed, then one would have to assume that everyone gets a "bump." Staal would get the C, Girardi gets a permanent A, and then I'd have to assume that Nash would get the second A being our top forward and a former C of Columbus.

That said, Girardi could easily jump Staal for the C if the organization gauges that Staal is eyeing Carolina.

If Girardi isn't re-signed then McDonagh gets his A.

Guys McDonagh doesn't even have an A. I wouldn't give it to anyone, if I had to I'd give it to Staal. Frankly I don't wan't to see McDonagh get more than an A, does he literally have to do everything for this team?
