If Canada wins on Sunday, do you think Carey Price deserves the MVP?

Any of the top 10 Canadian goalies would have had the same results. Its the team in front of him, not him.

Gotta love the constantly changing narrative surrounding Price and Team Canada :snakehead

Price has been great but if any Canadian gets it, it's gonna be Doughty.

Not a chance.

Only way it happens is if Price stands on his head and makes 40+ saves Sunday but Canada's D is too good to allow that to happen.

Karlsson or Doughty will win it.

Playing less that Jonny odouya.

he's good, of that there is no doubt but doughty is one goal behind him, on a team whose forwards can't score and we don't staple doughty to the bench when things get tight.

Karlsson's played more than any other Swede except Lundqvist.

They've been consistent though. If he lets in a goal, he completely sucks, if he gets a shutout, it's the team in front of him.

Well tomorrow's performance will factor, if price gets a shut out, or doughty/karlsson have big games etc.

The MVP is not decided, especially with candidates on both teams

No way. He hasn't had to steal any games. He's been average, not spectacular, wasn't able to shutout Norway or Latvia. The team in front of him has just been very good at limiting scoring chances.

It's almost like Bull Riding in a sense.

Price is riding the bull pretty much perfect... just not getting the bucks.

That being said even 1 screw up in the last 3 games and Canada may not be where they are.

Doughty has was our best player for the first three games. Price was our best player today. Today is when it really mattered.

Right now I'd be fine with either one.

Let's wait and see what happens tomorrow because the discussion very well could be between Lundqvist or Karlsson. Silly to talk of MVPs when the Gold game hasn't even been played yet.

And if my aunt had balls she'd be my uncle. Price made the saves he had to. When he plays behind a porous D (habs) its his fault if he lets in more than a deuce, behind TC D he's a passenger along for the ride,

Either Doughty or Weber, with Doughty possibly getting a slight edge (and I absolutely loathe him as a Canucks fan). Not just based on their goals but their overall play. Defense is what mainly separates Canada from the other teams and Doughty/Weber are staples of that.

Yeah, I think it's gotta be Price. His performance today was outstanding, and he has been a rock the rest of the team can rely on. If Luongo was in net, this tournament would have been a different story for Canada.

I really don't see how people come to this conclusion all the time. If I didn't know any better, I'd think Luongo was an AHL goalie who Team Canada just selected to get him a medal.

Doubt it, maybe if its a 1-0 or 2-1 win with him making 30-40 saves.

Doughty has been the MVP for Canada

But with that said, I think they pick an all star team at the end, as it is, Price would be the goalie.

He has like a .75 GAA and .960+ Save %...

Before saying he has played weak teams, Fins and USA are going to be 3rd and 4th in the Tourney, and USA became into the game as the highest scoring team. And most importantly, Price has gotten little goal support, 8 goals in 4 games, he might not have been test in terms in a lot of shots vs the Fins and Lat, but when its a 1-0 game, its tough to be in nets, specially when most shots are scoring chances.

Doughty probably deserves tthis award but if Price shuts out Sweden then give it up. Sweden is really being so overlooked though. King Henrik has been great in the last month or so and my money is on him.
