Post-Game Talk: I Will Have The Soup With That Win

I don't think he stole the game. Play was pretty even at 5 on 5 but the leafs had more high quality chances near the net.

Campbell was solid, but our inability to finish gave the Jets a point

I probably should of clarified. He made at least 3 massive saves in the 3rd... one in particular kept it tied. He did well in the shootout too.

Do you think Winnipeg is happy with their odd man rushes or low zone breakdowns?

No team does.

I didn't look at the advanced stats today, but I feel Leafs didn't deserve to win. They were unfortunate to hit a couple of posts, but they didn't seem committed to fighting to get to the most dangerous spots on the ice.

All about Campbell here. He stole one forsure. Leafs had a good 2nd and bits of the 3rd but Jesus the powerplay. Just put it on the net and get a f***ing rebound. They're way over thinking. Go to the basics.

Anyway good to get the win... on to Calgary. Keep it going.

Go Leafs Go

He certainly stole the point but so did the Vezina guy down the other end

great performances at both ends of the ice

This was a perfect example of why "game management" is bad. The Jets spent the entire game getting away with interference, hooks, trips, and many other penalties. They would not expect to get called for it in OT. Then once they cleared that penalty, they knew they'd never get a second. That leads to attempting to injure Matthews by boarding him from behind. Then hitting Campbell in the hands well after the play was over. Very targeted against the stars. f*** this dirty team, I hope they cry long and hard tonight.
Ya the Jets are so dirty cannot believe it. The stuff they get away with is incredible. At least the refs gave the Leafs the benefit of the doubt most of the game to make up for it and gave them a pp in ot cause they did not want the leafs to win in the skills competition.

I dont see how anyone can saw we were domintaed... The game was super even. Helle was amazing too.

this was like the most even game all season

The PP dies as soon as the puck gets on Marner's stick, which explains a lot of our woes considering the puck is on his stick the most.

I see the same thing. He is not distributing the puck like he once did. I will say though, with no point shot in olay, it does make our pp easier to defend. We need a shooter on there. Reilly is most definitely not that.

I want to see Marner as bumper. His creativity will be better utilized there when he gets the puck in other areas of the ice. Nylander and matthews are more traditional half wall types.

Rielly doesn't help either though. We have 0 defense that can run point on PP.
