That it couldn’t even convert at 4 on 3 with more ice and all of Mats, JT, Marner, and Willy on the ice is really concerning. I get that they were facing off against the reigning Vezina winner but come on.

They had 1 dangerous pass through the seems. The rest was outside. Good saves, don't get me wrong, but you want quicker movement and better shots (especially that Willy onetimer)

Man, Dubois also sucks. He looks like a shadow of the player he was in the playoff bubble. Seems like "The Shift" angered the Hockey Gods and they took away some of his talent...

He's also a punk as we saw in the play in round in the bubble.

Spezza is special on the draws and in shutout.

Seriously Spezza has been pretty damn good since he became a Leaf. I hope the Leafs keep him for as long as he wants to keep playing and can play effectively because his skills are still there.

As for Campbell he's doing what Andersen hasn't been able to do consistently ever as a Leaf. Make clutch saves to keep the Leafs in a game and also be able to win a shootout. If Campbell keeps playing like this and can stay healthy then the Leafs need to make him number one and ride him all the way. No way Andersen should come back and be the number one again unless Campbell can't get the job done.

I mean, at least the OT pp looked good. For me, it's the other powerplays that concern me far more. Unlike the OT pp, they werent getting into the some, or set up, or generating basically any quality chances

True, at least they looked dangerous. The 5 on 4 PP is a complete mess. Can’t enter the zone, can’t set up, no good looks. A complete waste of two minutes.

Two points earned by Campbell. Who doubted him?

Leafs played sloppy D, they have to understand that playoffs aren't going to be end to end with 5-1 scores.

Grind out wins, play sharp on D or expect an early exit.

If Leafs get this goaltending in the playoffs, book a ticket to the finals.
