...so you ignore the fact that he played like DOGSHYTE that entire game and in every game since??...![]()
Not according to Cooper.

Not according to Cooper.
...according to Cooper, HasBeenington is THE MAN in net too...
That doesn't change the fact that Marner's OT goal is currently the tie-breaker does it?
They're going to the finals because of it.
...well, Marner better enjoy it, cuz it's the only Finals he'll see...![]()
At least he's not in the top six anymore. He can still bring some defensive play and I would think he'd be pretty good at 3 on 3.Looks good 3 on 3 and 4 on 5.
He just sucks 5 on 5 and 6 on 5 lol.
Well said.At least he's not in the top six anymore. He can still bring some defensive play and I would think he'd be pretty good at 3 on 3.
Anything he gives us offensively is gravy as far as I'm concerned. If he chips in some points, all good. He shouldn't be in the top six.
Hes the 13th forward on that team that PKs. He doesnt have a role unless its 3 on 3 specialist.I hope not, he's likely on the Olympic team next year.

God bless you, Divine. Whatever Marner is paying you, it's NOT enough. He's literally the highest scoring winger on the team. Also the third highest scoring Canadian forward in the NHL every year, behind McDavid and MacKinnon.
People (including Leafs fans) get mad at him because he's not a goalscorer. When his linemates aren't scoring goals, he's not producing. He can set up chances but he won't usually show up on the stat sheet unless his linemates are burying the chances.
On Team Canada though, it's not an issue. Generally any line would have talented players. Fourth line or first line, no one should care if Canada wins.
None of that matters. You are trying to win 4 games. Marner doesnt help you do that. He has no place here. He's literally the highest scoring Candian winger in the NHL. Also the third highest scoring Canadian forward in the NHL every year, behind McDavid and MacKinnon.

That's NOT the point. Those are all regular reason stats. Unfortunately, when the going gets tough, Marner gets going - and NOT in a good way.Nothing I said isn't factual.
Look it up.
Canadian scorers:
This year: Marner third in the league
Last 2 years: Marner third in the league
Last 3 years: Marner third in the league
Last 4 years: Marner third in the league
etc.
Top 2 are McDavid and MacKinnon who aren't going to be left off the team (hopefully).

I get that you are a fan but...
If Marner helps us win on Thursday, @Divine, I will NEVER bad mouth him again. Promise !!! But he needs to step up with something big.
I can live with Marner playing limited minutes including the PK.Okay but I don't get why you think Marner should be the best player on the team. Those are lofty expectations. He's not the best player in Canada.

He needs to step up.
He didn't step up. In fact, his minutes were cut by 5.That's exactly what he did today isn't it?

He was... fine.
If he could change the game, he wouldnt be getting fourth line minutes. Canada has better options. He played 4th line minutes and you're still criticizing him for not changing the game
Surprisingly though, and you won't like to hear this, he led all Canadian forwards in blocked shots in those 12 mins![]()
LOL. Did he? Good for him.He played 4th line minutes and you're still criticizing him for not changing the game

Good grief, I hope, and I'll go out on a ledge and say that I'm speaking for most people here, that he does so we won't have to endure 18 pages because of a single freaking pass ever again.LOL. Did he? Good for him.
Anyway, like I said, if he does something BIG on Thursday to HELP us win, I will NEVER criticize him again.
