At least he's not in the top six anymore. He can still bring some defensive play and I would think he'd be pretty good at 3 on 3.
Anything he gives us offensively is gravy as far as I'm concerned. If he chips in some points, all good. He shouldn't be in the top six.

Hes the 13th forward on that team that PKs. He doesnt have a role unless its 3 on 3 specialist.

He's literally the highest scoring Candian winger in the NHL. Also the third highest scoring Canadian forward in the NHL every year, behind McDavid and MacKinnon.
People (including Leafs fans) get mad at him because he's not a goalscorer. When his linemates aren't scoring goals, he's not producing. He can set up chances but he won't usually show up on the stat sheet unless his linemates are burying the chances.
On Team Canada though, it's not an issue. Generally any line would have talented players. Fourth line or first line, no one should care if Canada wins.

etc.
Top 2 are McDavid and MacKinnon who aren't going to be left off the team (hopefully).

That's NOT the point. Those are all regular reason stats. Unfortunately, when the going gets tough, Marner gets going - and NOT in a good way.
I get that you are a fan but...
If Marner helps us win on Thursday, @Divine, I will NEVER bad mouth him again. Promise !!! But he needs to step up with something big.

Anyway, like I said, if he does something BIG on Thursday to HELP us win, I will NEVER criticize him again.
