After Matthew Tkachuk’s comments about Team Canada not having a group chat because they don’t like each other, he decided to start one.
Indeed. Canada gave in to their dark passenger, and wheeled in both Tkachuk boys taped to gurneysIs that Dexter's chop room they're drinking in?
Yes, it’s where Matthews’ defensive game killed his team’s chances as wellIs that Dexter's chop room they're drinking in?
Group chat popping off in Boston
Honestly could see it affecting the Leafs and I’m not only saying that because I hate themI wonder if things are gonna be awkward for USA/Canada teammates after this lmao

I’m glad Canada got a much needed W
Canada won the tournament. The US started proclaiming US hockey is here after winning a round robin game… again.
Same thing happened in 2010. The US beat Canada in the group stage and started celebrating that it’s a change of the guard and the US program is better only to lose in the finals.
You’d think they learn from it but they don’t. The same will probably happen at the Olympics.
They are going to overtake us someday, sadly. Even though it’s not considered a top two or three sport in the states, the sheer number of residents all but ensure that it will happen. For all the trash being talked on the US program right now, they’ve made the final in 3 of the last 5 best on best tournaments. In the last two of those, they fell short of gold by two OT goals scored by generational players. We’ve gone from Canada being a stand-alone dominant force to edging out wins by the smallest margin possible. That most certainly is a changing of the guard compared to where we were 20 years ago, of course Americans are going to talk about it.
