Pre-entered fields for the 2023 Breeders' Cup World Championships will be announced live on FanDuel TV and on the Breeders' Cup website, official Mobile App, and Facebook, X, and YouTube channels on Wednesday, Oct. 25 at 9:00 a.m. PT/12:00 p.m. ET.
Featuring 14 Grade 1 races and $31 million in purses and awards, the 40th running of the Breeders' Cup World Championships will entertain fans from around the globe as the sport's best horses, jockeys, and trainers compete over two days of spectacular racing at Santa Anita Park in Arcadia, Calif., on Friday, Nov. 3, and Saturday, Nov. 4.
The pre-entry announcement will be hosted by FanDuel TV talent Christina Blacker and Joaquin Jaime.
Pre-entry is the first of a two-step process for all owners intending to start a horse in one of the 14 Breeders' Cup World Championships races. The entry stage then takes place on Monday, Oct. 30, when post positions are also drawn.

Friday, November 3
- There is expected to be 10 races. First post is listed at 2:30 pm ET.
- Races 1, 2, 3, 4 and 10 are non-BC races.
- Races 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 are part of the Breeders' Cup.
- USA Network will air races 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9. Coverage starts at 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm ET.
- FanDuel (formerly TVG) will air all 10 races.
- The undercard begins at 2:30 pm ET.
Saturday, November 4
- There is expected to be 12 races including nine as part of the Breeders' Cup. First post is listed at 1:10 pm ET.
- Races 1, 2 and 12 are non-BC races.
- Races 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11 are part of the Breeders' Cup.
- FanDuel will televise 11 races, all but the Classic.
- USA broadcasts until 3:30 p.m. ET
- NBC and Peacock from 3:30-7 p.m. ET.
- NBC and Peacock will broadcast the Breeders’ Cup Classic which is scheduled for the 9th race on the card at 6:40 p.m. ET.
- FanDuel TV will televise the final three races: Breeders’ Cup Turf Sprint and the Qatar Racing Breeders’ Cup Sprint and the final undercard race which is scheduled to go to post at 8:32 p.m. ET.
