I was just thinking today how difficult learning English as a second language must be.
Not at all. It's really dumbed down regarding any technical showing off. Nouns are simple singular or plural.
A car, the car. Compare to Swedish (en) bil, bilen, bilar, bilarna, where the nouns alter according to if it's indefinite, definite, singular or plural and there's five different ways in which it will happen.
English is really like someone set out to combine French with the Germanic languages and took out every difficult bit. If they hadn't messed up the vowel pronounciation in the process so that the kids can one day have spelling contests, it would be real simples.
This they're there their read read stuff is nothing. Though, obviously my opinion on that is effected on our English teaching concentrating heavily on the written form, which is why Rally English happens.
