I’m sure it’s already been said but my thing is that yes Kakko absolutely blows. He’s just never going to break out, at least not here but the fact that he was basically the fall guy for this mess speaks volumes about the organization.

Lavi and Drury don’t have the courage (or the brains) to do what actually needs to be done so they take a younger, quieter guy, who’s a bust and they go “hey look everyone we’re holding this team accountable.” When in fact they are not and never will.

This game reinforced everything wrong with this franchise and the coach.

It doesn’t matter how well you play, it doesn’t matter if you score a big goal, it doesn’t matter how hard you try, if you’re a young player you will never be rewarded for your contributions. Scored a game winning goal? You’ll be scratched a few games later. Score some goals to get back in the game? Take a seat while the Vets fumble around on the ice. Forecheck hard and draw a penalty? Maybe you’ll get the last few seconds of a PP, but you’ll never get on that first unit.

How bout take some of the 'old legs' out for a game? Im sick of this whole entire thing

While it seems Lav has turned into a moron this season, I am more disgusted with what I am seeing from most of these players. Total lack of of effort and urgency.

I am actually sad to see Sams last season is going to go down this way.

I know its not on the players radar, but I feel bad for hard working people that try and scrape some dollars together to take their family to go see this garbage on ice. Im disgusted to be a fan of this team. These players think they are giving a big F U to management, but its also an slap in the face to the fans

Pathetic

The players in that room thought that they ran the organization. That's why I told this board a few weeks ago there was a war brewing between the players and management. Management let them shoot themselves in the foot to start the season based on what the players wanted, not here we are in utter disfunction.
Looks like they were right!

How is the “let our guys look bad” approach working right now? That is the dumbest approach to icing a competitive sports team I’ve ever heard. Drury and Dolan are the biggest issues imo (if what you’re saying is accurate).

Scratching Kakko is so indicative of the culture that has been built around the core veterans.

Hes the easy one to sit down and God forbid its Mika or Kreider, who deserve it 10X more.

Unless they were in a trade call and Kakko was included its absolute horse shit. I almost want them to move Kakko at this point. Sure, we all know he isnt Mikko Rantanen, but he's always drawn the short stick and its far beyond the point where that accountability should be spread around the room

Shouldve had Berard, Cuylle and a combination of whoever else you wanted out there to finish the game. Should've put Quick out on the point for all I care.

Wouldve been the perfect opportunity to TRY that. I mean you literally threw all of the forward skaters into a blender for the lines with little to no purpose behind it. Sitting Kakko. Guys were playing out of position to "shake things up".

So after reducing Mikas minutes the entire second half of the game he was miraculously going to be motivated to come off the bench with an open net and provide a spark? Yeah that worked out beautifully.

It's depressing shopping for rentals in Aspen or Martha's Vineyard, fully knowing that the pebble driveways can wreak havoc on your Porsche 911.

I mean, come on people, maybe these guys don't want to drive their Land Rovers ALL the god damn time.

HF NYR has little understanding of fat stacks and what to to with it.

And the ladies. The ladies. Nothing more beautiful on God's green earth than a beautiful lady Ranger fan. Fn depressing having them worship you.

They can always slum it with a runway model post-game while be comped free meals at the cities finest restaurants.

Ever go to a Flyer game in Philly? Those ladies look like the Red Wing coach with a wig.

Wife has me picking up a bunch of shit for her this am at the supermarket. If I come home with ANYTHING not at a sale price....

Well, picture Matt Rempes face after the Columbus game last season.
