For me...I'd know all but two or so questions per test, but those I had no ****ing clue on and had no way of coming to a reasonable guess based on the answer choices. Oh, and they happened to be worth 8-15 points each.
Make sure you do your homework (you can look up a lot of the answers online--just make sure you know how to do the questions. And don't be like me and quit on a question and resort to the interwebs after looking at it and not seeing where to go) and do reasonably well on the clicker quizzes in class every day. The quizzes can be difficult based on the short periods of time she gives you, but having the two of those be good grades really helps in the grand scheme of things.
For what it's worth, I liked Dr. Howard better than I did Dr. Silverberg (dynamics). She actually teaches a good bit more than what Dr. Silverberg did (at least before I dropped his class), so you should be able to pick things up between what she gives in her notes, the book, and classmates.
